I sent FullTilt an email yesterday asking if it were possible to get rakeback without making a new account (which is, of course, against their TOS). They sent me the reply below. My question is: has anyone gotten rakeback this way? Is anyone else on this "list" they have? How long have you been waiting if so?
Hello Noah,
Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker.
Full Tilt does not pay players rakeback directly. There are a number of rakeback affiliates who offer players up to 27% rakeback if they sign up to Full Tilt Poker through their site.
Please note that this is not an issue which can be solved by opening another account with Full Tilt Poker, it is against our site policy to open more than one account. Though you could cease using your account, we do not remove it from our system, nor do we freeze accounts in order for players to create new ones.
However, we do value your continued support of Full Tilt Poker, and we are currently looking into organizing something that will help players who are not already attached to an affiliate. We have added your username to our files for further consideration. Please be patient.
If there's anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.
Best of luck on the tables! -
Several players have posted that they have gotten it after the fact both here and on that other poker site, yet their idiotic customer service department continues to lie about this fact and send form letter responses about it. They won't even tell me which affiliate I signed up through initially so that I can try to go through the site directly.
Whatever monkeys are running their service department are incredibly talented at acting in a manner guaranteed to lose current customers. I'm on pace to pay like 40k in rake this year and have told them that I'll leave without rakeback and they don't seem to care.
I only wish I knew what rakeback was when I signed up for this site in 06. Now I get screwed and watch them offer these things to everyone new with blatant disregard for their old customers, and I get to spectate on these forums and watch players boast about getting rakeback after the fact while the site lies to my face and tells me this is not possible. It's pretty embarassing actually. -
Was feeling quite the same when I sent them the email yesterday. Thanks though, makes me feel a little better that some people have said this has worked.

I got rakeback on an existing account about 2 years ago via an affiliates offer.
Full tilt are not to blame for not giving you rakeback as they are not the ones who offer it, as discussed in this very good thread:
