Anyone else think FTP's VIP System sucks?

    stars awards these things by points accumulated in a month, but FTP just has to do it by the day and limits the amount of credit you get to 200 FTPs a day, so you have to play many more days to get the bonus.

    This is counter to logic, which says that many players tend to play concentrated sessions, especially those like me who don't play tremendous amounts of volume because we have other things to do many days.

    FTP's going to have to do better than this to get more of my business, because they certainly don't make up for it with much else since I don't play many tourneys.

    Anchorage's filthiest and cheapest underground game has a better reward program than FTP... I heard they give you free sodas.

    They do of course offer actual rakeback, in addition to the Iron Man bs.

    Well, I can't confirm exactly what they're doing. I'm under the impression they're working on a more rewarding VIP system that's comparable to rakeback, but I don't have any information about it, timeline, or any knowledge of what they're actually doing.

    I already gave up on FTP and its Iron Man VIP BS. Any bonus or VIP bonus was just deleted from my rakeback. What's the use of having it then? I switched my play all to stars where you actually get something for your play.

    its terrible, Ive been an iron man for 10 straight months now and I can buy 25k points woohoo and with those points I can buy hmmm.....

    it's cool though, if you play 1300 14+1 super turbos you have enough fpps for a pool cue. and it only takes half that to get one entry into the Double Deuce. And the Ironman FPP multiplier is awesome... oh wait, no it sucks.

    Do what i do and use the points to enter 1800 ftp tables for 26 dollar sngs and try and take down a gtd tourney then cash out and go buy it in real life.

    Not to mention the damn chat violation system is a joke... I've had mine taken four times for typing LOL after bad beats... today's was 14 days rather than a week.

    This site is really really testing my patience.

    At least they have semi-reliable cashouts for now.

    as a vip program on its own, it probably sucks. but considering they offer rakeback, should people who live in glass houses throw stones?

    as you might be able to tell, i myself dont have rakeback there lol

    That aspect is so damned annoying -- if you play in the Iron Man monthly freerolls, you actually actually end up paying a pretty hefty entrance fee as a result (it was $60 last month, just to play the "freeroll"). Full Tilt is apparently the only rakeback site that does that -- response I got when I asked the question:

    "Full Tilt deducts bonuses, overlays, points spent and payment processing fees from rakeback. They are the only poker room that deducts tournament overlays."

    So since the Iron Man VIP tournaments are freerolls, they automatically charge you an equal portion of the total prize pool because of the overlay. Joke.

    It blows. They do offer rakeback though. Unfortunately only new accounts get it.

    i dont even care. they have more mid and high stakes tournaments than stars, ftp doug listens when we make reccomendations (and has changed the schedule on the same day when we have requests), and their tournies have a much better payout structure.

    I go ftp all day over stars, but i only play tournies

    If you have rakeback, there is no reason to be complaining. As someone else said you need to be at least supernova to be making the equivalent (or better) of 27% rakeback that you can get with FTP.

    If you don't, complaints are justifiable and I feel sorry for you because FTP's points and bonuses system is a goddamn joke.

    You only get the $351 if you are one of the lucky ones not fucked out of rakeback because you apparently have an affiliate the assholes won't tell you about who is getting that money instead of you... do you think i'd be posting about how horribly pathetic their system is if i was getting that money instead of some guy somewhere who had a link that i didn't even know i clicked 3 years ago when i didn't know what rakeback was and was just looking for a site that worked on a mac that wasn't boned by the nazi party's UIGEA?

    i liked it till i missed iron man in feb due to illness and short month. but i think at the higher levals you could probably play a couple of 75 $ sngs for free every month without hurting mgr plus you pick up an extra 1200 or so a year no mgr hit. plus if you do buy a bonus while it hurts mgr it is equal to about 47% rb while you are earning it.

    FTPs VIP Iron Man system is set up as a long term reward program. If you have been playing there for 3 years and dont miss a month it has some potential but sucks balls in the short term.

    For example after 3 years, you get 900 iron man medals a month plus bonus ones for opting out of the freerole if you make iron man which isnt that hard (achieve 200 points a day, 25 days a month). Can almost get a 300$ bonus every month then or buy 100,000 FPPS every two months. Can get a harley or mini in about 3 years from this which is pretty good for a mid stakes grinder (only if you live in US)

    But I agree they should adjust this program to reward people who play a lot in a short time or for less then 3 years.
