If so,how have you been doing? I'm thinking of grinding my roll doing these and some cash.
-
Ive played a few and there soft, but i mostly grind the 45mans, which i prefer for some reason, and I do pretty well in those.
-
You do 45 man KO's or regular?
-
I went on a tear where I used to play the $3s like everday. I have 2 wins, 2 seconds, and countless other FTs, theyre incredibly soft and once you figure out the way to play them, you can just kill, but be ready for some bad beats.
-
45mans on ftp, theres only 1 version of them its 6min levels non-ko
-
Yeah...i know there are going to be bad beats>i think I can deal with them. :) Hopefully I won't tilt.
-
I've final tabled 3 $26 KO's in 1 weekend and then gone to bust about 5-6 more and busted out a few $10's. The turbos are very streaky, obv becomes a shovefest once it reaches about 50 or so left.
-
played a few 3 dollars, FTed 1, but went out 5th A 9<A7 aipf, horrible..... the play is horrible, unrela bad but its so streaky, such a push fest when it comes down to it, dont' really like them to be honest
-
I grind the 3.30s a little. Swings are huge but the fields are soft. Gotta get a good rhythm in these. Also, the .50 KO bounties helps protect your roll, so I wouldnt think you would need 100 buyins to be safe.
-
I love the $3.30's personally, especially when the first level starts playing like the bubble of a SNG at 200/400 blinds. I think if you stick to the "system" Sklansky talked about in his tournament poker for advanced players (starts as shoving only AA/KK and later expands by giving a shove range depending on positiion) you could pretty consistently crush them as they are very soft. But yeah the bad beats are pretty sick in this tournament.
-
I play these a lot and have done reasonably well. You just have to know that you need about 15000 in chips to make it through the bubble period. But I have bubbled quite a few shoving ak or so and being called by someone for half there stack with q9 or worse because that .5 means more to them than cashing!
-
These tourneys are great. Its turbo but starting with 3K chips is great. I used to play the 180 mans on stars but these are so much better for turbos.
-
I've played 8 of these and have a 2nd and a 1st (brag), obviously variance has been good to me but I still feel like they are unbelievably soft and are a good value.
-
Yeah, seems to me like these could be great value, especially if you play a lot per day. it seems as they fill up fast too.
-
am I the only one who doesn't get double stack turbos? don't the two just cancel each other out?
-
I also prefer the 45mans. If they had a higher buy in 90man, I'd probably play them. Like a 70+5 would be cool.
-
Bump
-
I recently started playing the $24+2 90 person sit 'n' goes and have had some pretty solid results. I have been keeping track of my results in excel to see how profitable they are. Since I have been keeping track, I have played twenty, won two, and moneyed in five with an average bounty of just under 2.5 people.
-
snooop doggy dog.
-
since u bumped it I guess I'll brag

Nice
-
Doing pretty good. Two wins in the 3.30s and two wins in the $10+1s. Has definitely helped my Sharkscope stats.
-
Yeah these are fun.... The bubble play is top-notch.

ya well, i rarely brag -
KO's are my favorite to play...They play a little different from regular mtt's and there is always good action...plus getting a bounty for each ko fits my style well!
CardX -
yeah, play about 5 or 6 of these tonite and got quickly reminded of why i rarely play on full tilt.
-
if you don't have too many valuables around to break (or this isn't a concern to you), they are certainly soft, easy BR builders. the play is terrible and the self-opinion of the players is almost as high as it is on P5s, but if you can deal with the insane amount of beats and a lack of resemblence to poker, they are quite profitable.
