No, internet access in NOT free at the Rio. Just stayed there in early May.

what do they charge? i'm truly surprised that it isn't free; ive been to friggin mcdonalds that have free internet access, heh.

was something like 9.99 for 24 hours last year.

obviously there are but staying at the rio would be far more convenient since all the events are held there and there are plenty of cash games. if possible i'd rather avoid the commute to and from the strip every day.

Poncho how many bathrooms do you have in this house?

Ok...a serious reply...

Its not the Rio..but its pretty close. You might want to check out the Extended Stay Hotel down the street from the Rio. Rooms are like 50-70 a night, and its like a 5 min walk to the Rio. Rooms are meh, but they do have a stove, fridge, kitchen and stuff. That is the only thing I can think of that you can walk to the Rio from. Another choice is to look for a room at harrahs as they offer shuttles to the rio during the WSOP. Otherwise, for rooms that are still available and cheap, check out the excalibur, hooters, and tropicana. Also some decent deals at the MGM and NYNY right now. Some would walk to the Rio from these hotels, and others wouldn't dare walk in the hot desert sun. These are your best bets.
