u might be one of the best at online poker, but to say they all suck is just terrible.

negreanu, john huand, phil ivey, jen harman, barry greenstein, elky, greg raymer, sam farha, just to say a few that keep their game sharp. (and im just talking about mtt, since cash they would probably crush every top 100 online mtters)

not even to mention the best of them all, who would crush any of you online superstars, PHIL IVEY....

i dont get why a lot of online pros like to talk bs about the live pros.

i know a lot of them have fallen appart and lost their edge over the field, but u have to admit a lot keeps their game sharp and beat the game at the highest levels.

Besides ivey and elky for obvious reasons, the other people you stated obviously keep up on their bird game, which is why they do so good live................. JK they play horrid and haven't won anything in years. Negreanu could be good if he would get over himself tryin to make a huge laydown everytime he plays a pot like a jackass.

Elky is a live pro?

They make more money marketing poker than any of the top online MTTers so I dont think they really care all that much. That being said though, it makes Ivey all that more impressive that he is able to keep up with todays game.

They do suck. (Obv not Ivey, but most of them do.) I mean a lot of the players that are featured in tourneys like TOC and PAD aren't top 1000 players in the world in terms of skill level. The WSOP doesn't broadcast a ton of tourneys, but when they do show tables it is usually celebrities who either won a tourney 4 years ago or have big boobs. If we were watching the Super Bowl and saw the 1000th best quarterback in the world starting for one of the teams, wouldn't you say he sucked, even though he is better at football than me and you?

About half of the players in that tournament do suck. Bracelets won before 2003 just don't have value. Doyle won 2 main event titles with combined field of 32 players between both events. Johnny moss and 5 friends play poker for a few days and all votes for 2nd best player and he's a world champion? The TOC is a good idea in theory, but you aren't going to get the best players in the world and especially since the tourney is a freeroll for them they aren't going to play their 'A' game. It's a shame that hellmuth, chan and doyle have as many bracelets as they do. Yeah, Ivey is going to pass them because he's the G.O.A.T.

Not hatin on the dude, but wtf is up with Negreneau's play on High Stakes poker? Is he like one of the top three biggest losers of all time in that game or does it only seem like it because most episodes I watch he's steadily donating?
