  1. I was thinking of grabbing this with some of my FPP at pokerstars, is it worth it? I do well in satellites anyway, but I'd rather get a book than a Chris Moneymaker poster or lame mug or whatever.
  2. This is the one and only book I own. It gives some interesting strategy for b&m tournaments. However, it's not that great of a book for online sat. play. It does give you good advice for bubble hands. It tells you when you should AA in satellites, when A8 is a good hand to raise with, but A10 is a good hand to fold, depending on where you are in the satellite.

It's a very situational book. I would somewhat recommend it, bn2b... maybe you'll get more out of it than I did.

  3. I have this book along with several others and in my opinion it is not very good. I was looking for a book to help with sit and gos and I picked this one up. If you are not very good it might teach you a few things but in my opinion this book is a waste of money for anyone with moderate skill. A much better read for me was Championship No Limit Holdem by Cloutier and McEvoy. Weird that one book by McEvoy could be so much better than another but then again both were co-written. This book tells a lot about how to get in a satellite in a brick and mortar casino for the WSOP but that is about it.

My opinion of the book could be summed up like this:
I am not a huge Chris Moneymaker fan and I don't drink coffee, but if they were my points I would buy the mug.
  4. Thanks guys! I actually saw they have "the making of a poker player" by Matt Matros, maybe I will even get that, I dunno, it looks like it will probably stink but who knows... Anyway, appreciate the replies!
