Anyone tried Winstar's tournaments yet?

    I am considering going there for my first live tournament and I was curious if any of you guys have been there or have opinions on how it was ran, or helpful advice ect ect. They have two rebuy days 25$ entry fee with 15$ rebuy, and a 60+10 freezeout day too. Havn't exactly decided which day Im headed out there yet.

    i won the 60+10 f/o but the structure was pretty poor. Decent first got a couple grand out of it. The play was horrible though. GL

    winstars players suck for the most part
    the cash games are ridiculously easy, i've played better players at .50/1 tables online than the 2/5 at winstar
    the same players in the tournaments are in the cash games
    the winstar can be/is profitable if you have even a basic understanding of the game

    Did they change their tourney schedule? Last time i checked they only had 50+10 and 100+15 freezeouts. Where did you hear about these rebuys? I haven't tried any of the tourneys but the structure doesn't seem too great.

    i agree, i'm horrible at poker and win consistently there. they are just that bad (or i'm just uber lucky there, but given Sunday's trip of +360 at 1/2 with great hands such as top trips being called down by a mid pair for a $80 pot, i tend to think they just suck worse than me :))

    yea if you go to their website www.winstarcasinos.com its been different for a long time. only freezeouts, 2 days 50+10 and the other 2 days 100+15

    anyone know what the starting stacks are and/or how long the blinds last?

    starting stack is 3000 chips. blinds start at 25/50 i believe, not sure how long the levels are but i would guess 30 minutes

    Winstar has a tourament the last Sunday of every month, it varies in buy-in from 220-550 that is an excellent tourny. 30-40 min blinds and 4-5K starting stack with antes. They have anywhere from 200-300 people in it and 1st is uaually around 20-25K.

    If you;re gonna play a tournament at Winstar this is the one to play.

    Well i haven't played any but on the website it says max number of entrants is like 60 or 80 i think
