  1. haha!
  2. Cliff notes:

"blah, blah blah...<span>We have NOT had an independent THIRD party validate that our software was not compromised</span>"
  3. brsavage,

I think everyone is past the fact that there was an obviously flaw in the software somewhere that let these "superusers" see hole cards. I think it has now become an issue of how will the Absolute managers/owers will deal with or compensate those that were affected. From the looks of it, they have choose to turn their heads and ignore the issue like nothing ever happened. I think I can speak for ALOT of people when I say that I don't want to be part of a site whose owners do NOTHING when their own players are cheated out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. When its obvious that AP owners don't give a shit about their players, what makes you think they care about their UB players? As legggggy (who was a member of Team UB) has already said in the past, when he reported players multi-accounting at the SAME cash table, UB choose to ignore that also.
  4. i advise everyone to pull their money from absolute, send them a message, because they are obviously not getting the message and this response can only mean one of two things: 1) they are just too stupid as an entire organization to recognize the most blatant cheating that I have ever seen in my entire life or 2) they have a vested interest in protecting the AP cheaters. Neither of these 2 things can be good for players, so I strongly suggest sending them a message.
  5. Just playing this from their perspective. I am not saying this is correct or what I would do but here goes.....

If they did give any form of refund or did agknowledge that this did happen, then who the heck would play at AP ever again. No one would ever sign up. As well the 90% of the players at AP (or whatever it is) that would never have heard about this, except for the fact this is on the news are now going to leave. (Man the conservatives would LOVE this) Now the site is 100% screwed.

On the other hand only some leave and maybe more people will come over when the new legislation is passed. (If passed) And maybe our ads with the hot chick that are on during every WSOP broadcast will bring in more folks.

Seems from a business standpoint, they have chosen the second one. Probably the only one that will keep them around.

Personally I think the mainstream pub from this would kill off many newcomers. Im not really sure Id like it.
  6. Does Apestyles think it's rigged?

  7. I believe that oswald acted alone, that sacco and vanzetti were guilty, and that most conspiracy theories are derived from paranoia.

I have never in my lif accused anything of being rigged....

With that as my introduction, absolutes response is a complete disgrace and insults the intelligence of everyone, They should be embarrased at their behaviour at least, and imprisoned at worst.

Seriously, the hubris of some companies is just incredible.

  8. I hate when smart people spell it "behaviour." I know its correct but it just tilts me hard.

  9. I'm joking obv, but people really need to consider how lucky they are that AP is so clueless. This could have been nearly impossible to figure out if someone that knew about poker were doing it. If I had a superuser account I'd just look like Patrik Antonius, with near infinate river aggression, a few lost pots, and a few hero calls.
  10. They do not have a single litre of honour.

  11. Fair enough, I can't say I disagree with you at all, I just wanted to make it clear that the integrity of the software at UB isn't in question, just the management....

  12. would you be my neighbour
  13. Well, those stats certainly seem impossible, the most plausible explanation is some sort of super account. At the same time, I don't think that it is 100 percent certain. Really though, I was just wondering what they should do for people to have faith in them again. They have super soft tourneys and I wouldn't like to see that site bomb. Sheets, I agree but what specifically do you think they have done wrong?

  14. that exchange was golden
  15. i just honestly cant see how, after looking through every thread about it on 2p2, and seeing all of the hands and sick ass evidence, they can rule that there is nothing going on whatsoever.

worse yet after being exposed up almost 200k in high limit limit cash, the account was insta dumping thousands and thousands of dollars at lower stakes nl cash games, obviously either trying to make people think they're sorry, or some kind of absolutely stupid ass cover up which couldnt be more obvious imo.

i have never played on ap, and never will, and i just really cant get over the fact that they rule a fucking 10 high call on a board vs a 9 high bluff for 30k a "lucky guess". its just im-fucking-possible to EVER be able to do that, EVER, without some kind of inside knowledge that he could be holding literally the only hand you beat.

    it just disgusts me.

dont get me wrong, i know they would never openly say, oh hey, we do in fact have a massive flaw that has been exposed in our software, but what happened is unexcusable.
  16. I honestly do NOT think the issue here is a "superuser" account. I think its much more likely someone managed to hack the software to make AP relay the information of everyones hole cards to their client whilst wacthing as an observer - but not when playing - prehaps absolute have a feed which allows employees to observe a live table with all holecards face-up. So if some-one was able to hack into absolute and get the feed then all they would need to do is have 2 computers running, one watching as an observer and one playing. If people can hack NASA and the FBI then I'm sure there are people skilled enough to hack a poker site if the security is not good enough, I'm sure thousands of people have tried and will continue to try, and it looks like someone found one easy enough/with a big enough flaw to exploit here with AP.

What is clear is that the individual (and his friends, by the looks of the numerous accounts) were not skilled at poker, did not know about 2p2/p5s/poker tracker/data mining/stats and run up suspicion because of their greed.
  17. ape, have you read thru the 2 plus 2 threads, there are literally 100s of pages of proof, you are too smart of a guy and too good of a player to not realize something is not right.
  18. lol, 910o high call was obviously totally legit It seems to me clear that: (1) Absolutes connection to this is unclear, but they are obviously witholding information and any investigation is biased (2) The accounts in question re banned and Absolute will claim that chipdumping allegations and a continuing investigation is the reason for this (3) We can't know if the superuser account is still out there. For all we know it never even logged in to play and was just used to view tables while other normal accounts were used to cheat (4) Absolute would obviously never admit such a compromise of their system was possible, so this is no surprise (5) For anyone questioning this, PLEASE read over the original threads and hand histories and realize there is NO WAY this guy couldn't see hole cards! I for one will never play on Absolute again, and I can only hope that others feel the same way -Jeff

  19. I've seen most of the pt stats and gone through the 2+2 threads. The most plausible explanation is said account being able to see opponents hole cards. Dont get me wrong, I'm pretty convinced there is a "super" account, but there is a tiny bit of doubt in my mind. The only thing that confuses me is why the account would be so blatant. I believe if AP had personal connection to the super account they would at least have someone operating it who knew something about poker. They're making a lot more than this super account did and have a lot more to risk. I totally dont understand the T high call vs. crazymarco either, why let him have outs and also expose yourself?

edit: With further assessment, I think the main reason there is doubt in my mind is because I liked that site and have a 300+ roi in tourneys there. So, I'm probably biased. It is 99.9 percent certain those accounts could see hole cards, I just wish I could see the same info absolute has.
  20. I love the colour of my reefour.

    The flavour isn't bad, eithour.
  21. Well-disguised AP ROI brag post, wp ape.

I mean that, too. Most brag posts are VERY thinly veiled.
  22. Yes UB probably is ok however i am not wealthy enough to risk it.The game is tough enough on an even playing field without having to worry about all this stuff. So as of yesterday AP and UB are uninstalled,i feel very safe at Poker stars and FTP. Its really to bad.
  23. I am officially pulling the $2.80 cents I had off of AP.

Sheets, can I please transfer it to you and you can start a superuser hedge fund?

  24. Ive seen some of the final table replays on pokerstars where they show everyones hole cards face up......
  25. I would like to know what they folded those few times preflop when someone else had AA.
  26. im staying i loveee ap :) this concerns cash mostley

  27. how many people are gonna stop playing on AP who used to play the 1k on wednesday every week?

  28. What have they done wrong ape?

They have have not admitted the truth. They have deliberated fegined or slanted their investigation to draw conclusions which fly in the face of reality, and insulted the poker community's collecitve intelligence.

    a very simple...

"We had a major securtiy breach which we have since corrected. It is very embarrassing but we have taken steps to ensure this will never happen again."

    will be fine.

  29. yea, i agree.
  30. Has anybody seen other peoples hole cards while playing online? It's clear it seems possible, but who has ever seen it before? It's kinda of hard to make an accusation of something I've never heard anyone admit to online seeing personally.
