  4. A min raise with two limpers already in seems a little small to me isn't it?
  5. yeah brain froze... I was expecting to fold the guys in front of me and play in position with AQs... I butchered the hand... then busted for mickey mouse money QQ < KT all in pre... so fn pissed (@ result, not my play except this one hand)

  6. LOL at min raising with two limpers in. Well now if it gets back to you without being 4 bet you pretty much have to call given the odds. Reevaluate after the flop.

  9. please dont shove that flop

can u name 1 hand u beat that actually might call?

  10. if u put him on kk qq 99 then hes just gonna fold n u dont want ppl with worse hands to fold when u have them crushed right? pf u shud make it like 8-10k,,,n depending on his 3-bet size id prolly fold. but as played being this is a 1$ turny im proly calling this 5k more n chking the flop n just flatting most flop bets looking to keep the pot small and proceeding from ther.
  11. I played this flawlessly until this hand, it's like highlander and I absorbed every donkey I encountered until I was overcome by donkness sigh. 4 hours for $6 sucks, this was so shippable... :(

  12. I hate open shoving this flop. Almost never getting called by anything other than hands you're smashed by (though given it is a $1, you'll probably get spewtards pay you off with Ax or KK)
  13. gut was just to fold, I was 6th in stack with 100 folks left, wasn't a reason to be in behind a few guys limping with who knows what / any pair... this was all my first thoughts.

  14. raise everyday
  15. You really shouldn't be thinking of open folding this pre against players who haven't shown any strength in the hand yet. With a hand as strong as AQ vs random limpers in a $1 tourney you should definitely try and play the hand. Now how you play it is where you're instincts and reads come into play. Nitting it up is ok.......this is not one of those times preflop though.

  18. yea good move you want to make yourself strong especially at end game so anyway to double up is good, now if you are reraised here you should be concerned especially for all your chips if it cost you about half-14th your stack you can gamble to an opponents all in reraise.
  19. I didnt read any responses but I make it 3x and reevaluate, I'm not sure we r gonna fold to a reraise

just folding is bad.... being top 10 in chips isnt important. conitnue to make optimal plays, with over 100 left you cant ride that stack to the final table by folding

i dont wanna come of harsh, but what exactly gives you this range that wouldnt also include TT or JJ... when i read this my thought was when players stack off cuz they say i put u on ak, so were flipping... and like others said what hands do you beat that are going to call you... AQ only beats pocketpairs that missed... AK,AJ,AT,88+ is prolly a solid range to give him here, and most of it beats you. The hands you dont beat are never calling.

with aq theres plenty of reason to put chips in the middle even after limpers.. you are playing a deep stack.

overall i feel by most of your posts that you are playing somewhat scared... this is a point in the tourney where alot of players really push their stacks and abuse all of those wanting to slowly move up... Nitting it up at this level isnt bad, but you gotta play ur big hands...

i hope i dont come across harsh as im trying to give constructive critism...

I admire you for being able to be so rational, I'm just so fckn tilted after reading this thread
  22. In a $1 event (or even higher), I'm raising this to 4.5 bb, because of the limpers. Many of these players will l/c any suited cards in any position, and a min-raise serves only to sweeten the pot, as they won't be going anywhere for the extra 2500. If one of the players who limped likes to lrr, you need to take care, but more often, it's simply a player who doesn't understand how to play.
  23. U have to raise it up preflop, you're all pretty deep so its fine, i'd go between 3x and 4x, probably to 10k for me with 2 limpers and as its a $1. Then if u get cold raised (which u would have) u know where you are, and can fold, thus saving ur stack, making the right decision using all of the information you can gather, and continuing to go deeper in the tournament.

p.s. lol @ the link to the epic thread under ur name.
  24. im raising pre to 10 or 11k and not folding to either of the limpers. (first one only has 24bbs, second one isn't overlimping a better hand) re-eval to other action, based on reads, etc. the great part about having a stack is you can experiment with situations like this and not threaten your tourney life. stop playing scared it's a $1 tourney everyone in it sucks, open folding this pre should never cross your mind.
