Arguement about iso play w/ 11 players left in tourney. Advice wanted.

    11 players left in UB $30 tourney. I think this is a standard play here, but the rest of the table and the rail thought i was a complete idiot. This included Lykan Khan who i know is a good player and won the UB $200 tonight.

    Thoughts?

    That was a fine play that just about any good player would make i think. You got heads up as dominating fav with dead money in pot. If someone said it was bad play then they are soft.

    The only reason that they don't like this play is typically against a SS going into the final table the goal is to get as many players involved and check it down raising the probability of eliminating the SS.

    I think your play was the correct play, even if you had tripled up the player you still would have had 76k in chips with no worries about hitting the FT. Winning this hand put you at about 105k in chips going into the FT. It also gave you a table image that your going to play your strong hands strong. Now at the final table you should be able to start stealing chips.

    nothing wrong with your play, I've seen well known players make moves like this with weaker hands like 68 etc. I believe you are more interested in getting chips to win the tournament not just make the final table which is what some of them are thinking. They are also being results oriented you got the money in good with a premium hand.
