  1. Most of you don't really know me but I lurk here everyday and appreciate all that I have learned and continue to learn from all of you.

I play $50 sit and goes on stars and when I am playing one and sometimes two at the same time I believe I do well.

Out of my last 97 I have played I have hit the money 46 times for 47% in the money. 14 first, 17 seconds, and 15 thirds. Most of these 97 tourneys I have played one at a time. Maybe 15 times I have played two tables at once.

My problem is that in two seperate sessions 6 tourneys the first time and 10 tournyes the second time I have done horribly. Those 16 tourneys while 3 tabling I have only hit the money 3 freakin times!!!

Have any of you that are experienced and skilled at playing 3 or more tables had this kind of trouble when you started multi tabling?

Did it take you awhile to get your numbers up once you began playing more than one or two tables? Are your numbers just as good when you are playing multiple tables and if so did it take some time to get there?

I know that if I can play 3-4 tables and at least have my numbers close to the same as when I only play singles, I am really going to be able to build a decent roll.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hey Tx,

I multi 30 sng's on party and have had pretty solid results. When you are playing one table do you find yourself playing the players or playing a system. I have found it is pretty much impossible to play other players once you pass more than one table. Also what kind of screen resolution are you playing on. If you are having a lot of overlap this might be hurting your play. But besides these suggestions I would keep trying since you still have a pretty small sample size. But as far as your question my results decrease a little bit with the more tables that I play, but my hourly rate is still higher than if I only played one or two tables.

  3. Txlonghorn, I just bought a 21" HD Monitor. What is the optimum resolution it should be set at? I find that at higher resolutions, the text and graphics are a little blurry but that might be due to my older video card (ATI radeon 7800...was good 3 years ago.)

    Thanks
  4. Flcarguy,

The resolution should be set as 1600 X 1200.
  5. Thanks for the feedback Longhorn.

I have a 24 inch widescreen so there isn't any overlap.

As far as a system verse players I find that I do like to play the players and situations which is going to be difficult with more tables.

I know it is a small sample but I was just stunned by how much of a drop off there was. I expected there to be some but not near as much.

  6. I would just chalk this up top variance... the sample is way to small... the fist time i did an 8 table session i made the money in 4 and won 3 i believe... well the next time i was itm on 1.. you can not judge results by 1 or 2 sessions, if you ahve the bankroll for it do a bunch of them making adjustments as you go. you will find you are willing to push with a lot more because you really dont have time to think and it becomes push/fold, it hurts the ITm% but i think you will find yourself going deep in more because of the pots you pick up pushing.

This really is to small of a sample to make anything of
  7. I think a lot of this is variance. I have been on stretches that are much worse than what you stated, but if you do like to play the player and take notice of what they are doing this is going to be very difficult multi-tabling. You should still be able to play situations though but you wont really be noticing how your opponent is playing. I would start at at lower stakes possibly 20 or 30 to try to get the feel of multi-tabling, I have noticed that the players are considerably worse at the 30 level than the 50 level and that you can use a system to beat these. Hope this helps.
