I know I am going to take some heat on saying this, since it has become the 'norm' for people on the 1st hand in the $100rb, but discussing and agreeing what you are going to do on a future hand with an opponent at your table, in my mind, can only be called collusion. Just because it is made public in the chat box, does not make it right.
Am I the only one who feels this way?
I might be wrong about this, but I would like for someone to explain to me why. -
going all in at penny omaha is collusion when the instructions are discussed on p5s and i'm gonna report you for it.
-
are you guys for real? It's obviously collusion, everyone could go all in blind and that would be fine but once it's talked about it's collusion.. It's just like checking a hand down to eliminate someone. checking it down is fine, UNLESS IT'S DISCUSSED
-
it may not be like a serious form....but according to the rules it is collusion
-
<SPAN class=me>Courtesy of dictionary.com:
collusion</SPAN> <SPAN class=pronset> </SPAN> <SPAN class=pg>noun </SPAN> <TABLE class=luna-Ent><TBODY><TR><TD class=dn vAlign=top>1.</TD><TD vAlign=top>a secret agreement, esp. for fraudulent or treacherous purposes; conspiracy: <SPAN class=ital-inline>Some of his employees were acting in collusion to rob him. </SPAN></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> <TABLE class=luna-Ent><TBODY><TR><TD class=dn vAlign=top>2.</TD><TD vAlign=top><SPAN class=labset><SPAN class=ital-inline>Law</SPAN>. </SPAN>a secret understanding between two or more persons to gain something illegally, to defraud another of his or her rights, or to appear as adversaries though in agreement: <SPAN class=ital-inline>collusion of husband and wife to obtain a divorce
</SPAN></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
The question is whether or not the agreement is deemed "secret".
In my opinion it is not collusion because you inform all the players at your table by typing in the chat box, but I can see how you could argue that one is not informing the entire tourney field of his intentions; therefore it could be seen as collusion. -
Dave is definitely not here, man.
-
Take another bong rip, gank
-
Agree totally.
-
You are not wrong about this.
A plan is being discussed by 2 or more players to act in concert to obtain an advantage.
Seems the case here.

regardless whether I am right or wrong, it is obvious that the answer is not clear. I guess I could see that stating it in public in the chatbox that it could be considered not collusion, atleast according to the previous posters dictionary definition.
-
i think it's a form of collusion. i also think it should absolutely be allowed in rebuy tournaments.
-
They might just want to gamble.
-
Is it still collusion when they fold and laugh
-
looooooooooooooooooool i cant believe i didnt even look who posted this i just jumped on it!!
Thats the problem these days its become the norm and i cant believe i found myself dragged down to the level of flaming at the 1st chance!!
correction i know you can afford it so why do you hate it so much???
gank pwns pbv -
If i recall correctly, there was a post on here before about an email someone had received from stars after someone had complained of exactly this. If i understood stars reply correctly, they said it is considered collusion if you agree to something such as"let's go allin blind IF it's folded to us in our blinds" or something similar. however, if you simply agree to go allin blind before the hand publicly in the chat box then it is not considered collusion. i may have had too many hits between then and now and be completely off base but thats how i remember it.

I'm gonna go ahead and make a super bold assummption and say it's because gank thinks it is a form of collusion
-
haha its ok, I just wanted to bring it up for discussion, because I am not sure where I stand on the issue. It isnt about wheter it is advantageous for me, it is whether or not it is fair play for all those in the tournament, not just those who benefit from these plays.
-
collusion....
-
Collusion no if's and's or But's
BTW it happens in the 5r also. -
Im sure if uber-baller friends like Phil Ivey, Daniel Negranue, or Erik lindgren were at the same table in the 1K rebuy at the WSOP they would be going all in blind occasionally
-
Dex is exactly right
-
DIDNT READ ALL THE POSTS..BUT NO COLLUSION
Collusion is a secret agreement b/c 2 or more players..BY STAYING UR ACTION= NO COLLUSION
Also, bc u say ur going all in doesnt mean others can/ or cant
NO COLLUSION, you are not telling ur hand and u are not ganging up on anyone!
