    ok my results have been slacking a lot lately and im not playing as much volume as i probably need to and so i think i want to organize a bet for august to hopefully motivate me to both play more and play better.

    basically it is just going to be every man for himself and the person who has the best p5's plb score at the end of august wins. it will be winner take all unless a certain number of ppl join then we will prob give 2nd some money and then 3rd and so on just depending on how many ppl join.

    right now im thinking the buyin should be around 1k but that is very flexible and i would be open to going lower and possibly higher idk we would just have to see. anyways post in this thread if you are interested at all and if i garner enough interest in this i will probably make another more official thread.

    why not 500, wouldnt a 500 bet bring a lot more deadmoney into this

    lets do it like a top 20,30 or 50 scores, just so the crazy volume ppl dont try and kill themselves. i dont wanna be playin 16 tables during the FTOPs 2500 for the sake of this bet

    Meh, individual sucks. At least do tag teams. Seriously, everyone gets 1 partner for 1k each. 50 combined scores (no more then 35 from 1 player), winners take all. I really doubt this would be a problem, plus it would add more intrigue then just individual scores.

    I'll do both. My main reason for doing it is to motivate me to play more - I won't need motivation during the wcoop.

    edit - ill do tag team too as long as we can pick our teammates...

    ehhh wcoop so far away, i need so much motivation now, want something to get me going. neway ppl would be down for this and then something next month for wcoop? i think this would be better anyways bc no one iwll have a super inflated score due to winning one big event in the wcoop either.

    and tag teams actually sounds like a really good idea as well.

    edit: ya i was thinking pick your own team mates maybe 1500 bucks a team and then we can stipulate more rules l8r. and im right there with u as far as motivation goes

    Well I'll be @ T-Stone for 8 days in August, but in September I have WSOP Euro & Aruba, so I'd prefer August.

    What if we made this a 2-month long bet and doubled the buyin or something to accomodate everyone?

    I really liked the draft style format that was used a few months back. IMO 2-person teams will become to "unfair" as some of the players that might be interested might not even have the bankroll to play all the tourneys.

    I'm definitely interested in whatever you all decide, but I like the idea of keeping it open to low volume / lower limit players, as well as keeping it fair.

    mk unofficial rules:

    -2 person teams, choose your own teammate
    -2kish buyin (give or take 500)
    -there will be some sort of cap to offset volume but volume is obv still rewarded (play more to win big)
    -it will cover a two month span
    -pocketfives plb scoring system

    i can prob hold money, if ppl want some1 else to do it though that's fine too we can figure that out later...

    Scores would be like 40 per team over 2 months and no individual member of the team can account for more then 30 scores.

    Just get the teams together now. Doesn't matter who u guys team up with though b/c Annette & I will destroy all of you anyway. I just hope Flatlus is available to play the WCOOP main event for Annette and score us 1000 PLB points again!

    If you would like someone NOT involved in the contest to hold the $$$ I can do it... I've held for several of the bigger contests and there are plenty of ranked players around here that can vouch for me... Dont really care either way, just thought I'd volunteer to help. Can't wait to see this get going.

    this is the perfect thing for me to try and continue to improve, as this is competition among the games elite, whgich is what drives you to play better, i would be interested but depending on if its teams, or teams of 2 etc, i could understand why ppl would want to exclude, me, hell id rather have all the names above then myself lol, but i remain interested,pls let me know what you guys to do, whther its a month, or two, teams etc, thanks again

    ok i apologize that you have made it official to make it teams of two, that will p[rob rule me out, if anyone is interested in playing with me, and trying to get me to improve my game,pls pm me, id be very interested in this because this exactly what you need to get your game in peak foprm before the wcoop, anyways if i can find anyone that would bewilling to tag with me i will be in, i assume this will run from Aug 1 to the end of the wcoop?
