  1. Midway through the 10k superstack on bodog, im sitting with 9000ish with 150/300 no antes. I am big blind with AKs and utg limps (14k stack). Next player (18k stack) makes it 1200 to go. What is your play? No real reads on players, both appearing to be fairly tight. It seems like i have so many options in this hand, and its a crappy spot, which option sucks the least?

  2. Anything special about UTG+1? Is he opening a lot? Seen him showdown any junk at all? Or make a loose call pre flop?

The play I use here is the go and go. Usually I would make it 5k pre flop and open push any flop if i get called.

Just pushing it all in pre flop is OK too.

The reason I like raising half my stack instead of strait pushing is that it gives my opponent an extra chance to fold some better hands on the flop that he might call with pre flop. A lot of people will probably disagree with this.
  3. 3700 to go...call shove/shove any flop

    Calling isnt horrible/folding is

  4. What charder said. But you have to shove 100% of flops if the guy is an idiot and just smooth calls. If you are uncomfortable doing this, then just ship it all-in preflop with a big overbet.

Also like charder said, calling isn't terrible, but folding is. He is a smart man.
  5. :) thx for the great replies guys. I know i have to shove the flop if i raise pre, and id like to raise enough pre to where shoving isnt too big of an overbet on the flop. I think making it 4k +- a few then shoving any flop or calling pre isnt too bad. Its just i have 30 bb and i dont want to donk overshove with AK and only get called if beat or racing, ya know? I flat called and checkfolded a raggy flop, just curious as to some responses on the spot.

  6. Good advice.

I think the only problem with the overbet is that people are going to either put you on JJ or AK. So, many people will get a very fine range at what your possible holdings can be, and since you actually have one of these, it will be to their advantage.

So, I'd rather do the raise/push idea.
