  1. A buddy of mine has been frequenting a local cardroom in TX at an apartment. The other night he said there were a group of 3 guys that were friends sitting at the same table, and this situation happened at least 3 times according to his story.

Basically one of the players was very lag, raising a lot and showing down garbage. Well what would happen is the lag player would raise and get multiple callers, including one of his buddies. Then when the flop came the LAG would overshove the flop and only his buddy would call him, but THEN afterwards they would agree to pull back the all in bet and check the remaining streets down. He said this happened at least 3 times.

No one at the table spoke up about it and a lot of the dealers they're using at this room are very green, so he wasn't sure if it was colluding or a legal cash game practice? But it seemed they were just shoving the other players out of the pots so one of them would get what was in. Anyone heard of this?
  2. seems like 2 people who are very easy to exploit.
  3. No I have not. And it is totally unacceptable.

If it was JUST the two friends AND if it is a cash game, then, sure, they can just agree to check it down.

But with others in the pot have one player shove and then have a buddy call, and then pull bets back? no effing way!

  10. Well it's not really a home game because they're running it as a business, with rake taken and paid dealers.
