My friend has been profitable at the $2 180 on stars for a while and been offered a backing deal for the 12s. Asked me to look over the deal make sure its fair for him as he has no expierience in this. Not been backed myself so anyone who has is this a pretty standard arrangment?

Cut: with 60/40 make up (mu)

Stakee quitting:
You are not allowed to quit while you have make up.
You can leave the deal if you and your backer find a deal on the left over make up.
Backer quitting:
Should the backer have to quit the current deal, the backer has to inform the stakee one week in advance. The backer will help you finding a solution for your current situation.
Changing backer:
You are not allowed to change backer without having the other backer buying your make up.

Occasinally the stakee is allowed to take shots at higher games (HG). The stakee must request permission to play those.

The backer limits the maximum amount of tables the stakee can play. This number will be adjusted over time.

BR rules
========

You are provided with a daily bankroll (DB).
If you drop below the minimum bankroll (MB) threshold, your BR will be refilled up to DB.
If your bankroll exceeds profit bankroll (PB) you transfer BR - DB (everything but your daily bankroll) to the backer. He will then calculate your profits and share them with you.
If your BR drops below stop loss (SL) inform the backer immediately and quit until you hear back from him.
The backer will keep track of your current make up and inform you accordingly.
Remark:
1) As long as your BR is within PB and MB there is no money withdrawn or transferred.

Share winnings
==============
Winnings are shared at 60/40 w/ mu
Any bonus or promotion does not count as winning (FPP, Reloads, Rake Back, Rake Race, VIP Freeroll, etc)
The profits are transferred to the backer (both cuts) at the end of a playing day according to BR rules. The backer returns the players profits to an account the stakee is not playing on by the next day.
To start splitting the stakee has to win one DB and return the stakers money. At the end of the staking the DB is profits and will be split after deducting make up.
Cashout
=======
Most sites don't allow cashouts without playing (Stakees winnings are on an account he doenst play). The backer will help the stakee transfer his winnings back to the site he is currently playing on. He must cash out the day he gets the money transfered.
Best Case plan

In this section a best case plan is described.
Win $5000 => promotion to 65/35
Win $10,000 => promotion to 70/30
Worst Case plan
===============
In this section a worst case plan is described.
Lose $2500 => Done with staking (holds just for the beginning)
Games disobedience
==================
Should the stakee not stick to the game rules he will be warned once by email.
Should the stakee not obey the game rules a second time, the agreement will be cancelled. The BR will be split according to share winnings.
In case of games disobedience the stakee has 1 month to pay back any damage caused. The backer will pause the daily transfers till damage is fixed.
Should the staking have to be terminated due to games disobedience the full MU has to be payed back at 100% rate.
Reports
=======
The stakee has to inform the staker DAILY! about his BR by email [email address deleted -- read forum rules] after his session. This is very important and key to a successful stakee-backer relationship.

seems pretty legit... as WJ said if hes got the BR to do it himself Im not sure why he would want to have the backing, except maybe the 1 on 1 coachin, and potential to be backed for larger games if he does well...

Pretty sophisticated, little room for error. Looks like a fair deal to me.
