So... it's pretty much bubble time and meezy shoves 4k when there are two smaller stacks still in the hunt? Is this a bad move?
  2. easy shove. if this isnt an obvious shove to you then quit playing the $75's right away. you play to win the game son!

  3. LOL ^^, I want some ICM mathematics on this one
    Thread Starter
  4. You do not need ICM math to justify this shove.

Push/fold mode with less than 6bb's and he is first in the pot.....That is all the justification one needs

Who cares about the bubble...why would someone fold to cash.....Your profit comes from the Top spot not from barely making the money....Never ever fold this hand in this spot in this tourney.......only acception would be if it was a satty where everyone is paid the same and then you can re-evaluate your situation according to how close to the money u are and who is the shortest stack
  5. You don't give all the details, but here's a try:

    <table border="1" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><th>Player</th><th>Stack</th><th>Push%</th><th>EQPre</th><th>EQPost</th><th>EQDiff</th></tr><tr><td>UTG</td><td>17326.0</td><td>13.4%</td><td>0.2429</td><td>0.2447</td><td>0.00183</td></tr><tr><td>UTG+1</td><td>4420.0</td><td>22.5%</td><td>0.077</td><td>0.0791</td><td>0.00208</td></tr><tr><td>UTG+2</td><td>2444.0</td><td>29.9%</td><td>0.0436</td><td>0.0457</td><td>0.00209</td></tr><tr><td>CO</td><td>13852.0</td><td>22.0%</td><td>0.208</td><td>0.2101</td><td>0.00212</td></tr><tr><td>BU</td><td>19720.0</td><td>40.0%</td><td>0.2636</td><td>0.2657</td><td>0.0021</td></tr><tr><td>SB</td><td>2030.0</td><td>84.6%</td><td>0.0364</td><td>0.0331</td><td>-0.00338</td></tr><tr><td>BB</td><td>7708.0</td><td>0.1284</td><td>0.1216</td><td>-0.00684</td></tr></tbody></table>
Here's a decent range for 5.5bb push first to act.

    <table border="1" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td>UTG+1</td><td>22.5%, 22+ A2s+ A7o+ K9s+ KTo+ Q9s+ QJo J9s+ T9s </td></tr></tbody></table>
    <table border="1" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="2"><tbody><tr><td>BU</td><td>10.0%, 55+ A8s+ ATo+ </td></tr></tbody></table>
This looks like the button called pretty light. He should have been tighter than KcQs. Only thing about it was he had live cards, after they were shown. Caller starts out behind and doesn't improve.

    Oh, well. Live and learn.
  6. wait..what? are you asking if its a bad shove or if your call is bad?
  7. <strike>With 7 left in a 45, didn't the bubble already burst anyway?</strike> I don't play and haven't played anything close to 75s, but this seems like an easy shove.

EDIT: nevermind, i see it's on FTP, and was thinking stars structure.
  8. This is a easy shove with 8 left. Let alone with 7 left....lol @ saying need ICM math to see if it isnt. Standard
  9. as the resident 69 plus 6 45 man specialist i approve the shove.

  10. You are getting a lot of advice on playing to win, and ignoring the bubble. Please don't follow that advice. In these 45-man events, the bubble is a HUGE consideration, much like it is in a 9-man with 4 players left. If you only play to win, you are going to make some severe tactical errors that will win you chips, but cost you money.

Don't ignore the bubble, and don't ignore the shortstacks. They are VERY important considerations. Especially since, on FTP, the bubble looms large with prizes of {1180,776,497,311,186,155}, it's a strong jump from 7th to 6th, much stronger than the 45-mans on pokerstars. You absolutely need to take this into consideration when choosing a shoving range.

    Example:

Without ICM, taking cEV into account ONLY, Meezy can shove:

    <TABLE class=simple cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=3 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>UTG+1</TD><TD><TD><TD>25.8%, 22+ A2s+ A5o+ K7s+ KTo+ Q9s+ QTo+ J9s+ T9s </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

With ICM, the range is much, much tighter. This is what I would shove in his spot:

    <TABLE class=simple cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=3 border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>UTG+1</TD><TD><TD><TD>13.1%, 44+ A8s+ A5s-A3s ATo+ KTs+ KQo QTs+ JTs </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
ICM would suggest an even tighter range as long as you input the calling ranges of the other players properly, but I would shove wider than ICM suggests in order to protect my fold equity and because I believe that your fold equity on this shove is pretty high.

But..... it's still okay, even on the bubble, to shove your good hands. Be fast, but be first.

As you can see, AJo is still an easy shove no matter which way you look at it.

    Hope that helps!

  12. I love you Jen, but i have a different perspective with regards to bubble play. I do not ever care about bubbling or not. The $150 to me is nothing. The more aggressive approach I take will provide more 7th place finishes, but also provide more 1st place finishes.

and to the douche that LOL at me, look up my stats on sharkscope and see if yours come even close.
