  1. by doing the deal he has no shot at 2nd place money even if he wins and he is only guaranteeing himself an extra 11k.
  2. Everyone is always quick to jump on these deals. 11K is 11K. Depending on his financial situation it might be a great thing for him.
  3. funny how xjasonx said no then the next hand started and he changed his mind
  4. ls430 has chip lead now. i wonder if hes kicking himself yet

ls430 just won and got less than 2nd and 3rd did
  5. yeah what was that about changing his mind that quick?

  6. And he came back to win it all. At that point, are you in disgust because you just lost alot of money by accepting the deal, or are you filled with joy because you've just won about $85,000.

I don't think I could be upset, but I could see how some would be kicking themselves for taking so little and then coming back to win the tournament.

    Thoughts?
  7. ls430 is my buddy, but i couldn't tell him how bad of a deal it was because he wasn't available all tourney. what a comeback though, insane.
  8. but who's to say those 2 other guys didnt throw in the towel after getting the 100k already...20k is alot of cash but maybe they gave up...who knows
  9. I think that if no deal was made, it wouldn't have turned out the way it did. people start to not care when they already know they just locked in a huge sum of money, and they just play erratically.

So no, I wouldn't be kicking myself.
  10. Yea that deal pissed me off and dont even know him. Nice comeback though congrats
  11. so your saying if you were in there position you would give up playing on an additional 20,000. i know i wouldnt be
  12. no, i'm not saying i'd give up on the 20k... but doesn't it seem that people in that situation usually do play like they don't care after a deal is made?
  13. in the SCN, after the chop was made, the three remaining players played tighter than ever.
  14. id say a little looser but not enough to be reckless. i do get what you are saying though.
  15. I believe he was down 7 to 1 in chips when the deal was made.. 11K was probably more than he thought he deserved.. To come up 30K over 3rd place money wasnt too bad. Also none of their DBs made me think 11 K was a drop in the bucket.
  16. I think it was a good deal for him. If i were the chipleaders i wouldnt have even cut him the deal. I think he scored himself and extra 11K. And i can almost guarantee that things wouldnt have shaped up the way they did if they did not chop. alot less was on the line, they had guaranteed money. So they played a little looser. good deal for him.
