Indeed, but that's not my question....I realize that this was 50/50, but what I'm asking is that given the stack sizes etc...over the long run would it be better to wait for a better spot...

You have 21 bb's to start that hand. If you fold, assuming you lose both the big and small blinds in both the next 2 hands - you will be down to 16.5bb's with the button. This is not deepstacked and and with the dead money in the pot you're not going to find many better spots. Unless, you are positive he has KK this is a call all day with the stacksizes and this structure tournament. Not to mention, you're going to find a wider range than 1010+ in the reraisers range. this is a decent spot to squeeze (w/ good preconditions) and you may find an extremely wide range here b/c he has some fold equity.
