  1. This is the first bad run I've had where I have managed to control my tilt.

However, I continue to bust out being aggressive and not winning the coin flips, or my good hands just haven't been holding.. It really messes with my mind, and makes me over think things. I am hoping to get some advice on this hand, to see if this is a leak, or just running into a solid hand. I play $12 180's mostly. The following hand was with about 60 left or so. Had I won the pot, I would have been top 3ish.

DarkDing had been raising fairly often. Decided to push on him, pretty sure I can get him to fold, and run into a real hand against the seat to my left. Is pushing with KQ bad in this spot? Without those Jacks I'm picking up a lot of dead money. This is a turbo so you need to move in these or get blinded off.

  2. I don't play turbos (any more) so take this for what you will.

Shove seems kinda marginal in that he's raising from ep. Generally speaking not a good idea to raise trash from ep in turbo without a monster stack. Still three ppl to act. You aren't deparate. Kinda meh shove.

Now if he's on c/o or button an ur in blinds very good shove imo.
  3. Its pretty much how I feel too, but I'm still torn. The reason I don't fear the EP 3x bet, is that you would be shocked how many times the bet there and fold to a shove. Its a great way to chip up in these. I think this run is making me play overly aggressive though, and this wasn't necessary. Thanks for the opinion.

  4. You've got fold equity and KQ probably has like 40-45% equity against his opening range. I like the shove personally.

  5. you keep playin like this expect longer and more "bad runs" this is a terrible play. you have plenty of chips. wait for a better spot. this guy raises in early position. more often than not he will have a good hand and will not fold to your shove. kq? what do you beat kj? no good. you say you play aggresive? you say this guy opens alot. well, whos to say hes not thinking your being overly active? he insta calls this. he can put you on ak here. he will take that flip. if you hace aa here you probably dont shove. more than likely. if i had jj and you shoved kq on me and got there there would be alot of ******* in the chat box. you say your on a bad run? think about how you are playing.
of corse this is all imo. gl at the tables my poker friend

  7. I think you pick up the pot enougth here for it to be a profitable shove.KQ has been slaughtering my aa,kk,qq lately so dont give up on it.run better soon.
  8. This is a fairly standard shove, just run better.

How do you do that!!!??? Few sessions later and still can't win flips, can't win 90/10's etc std bad beat complaining. :) This has been quite a bad run but I'll get through it.

Thanks for the posts so far. I think I know at this point it was the correct play. It helps me realize that I have been making correct plays and they just are going my way right now. I was going to respond to a particular response but I don't have the energy right now.

For so long I haven't cared about bad beats, but when you string 10-20 of the in a row, they still get to me. It's funny how much it can make you question your play even with a 80-90% ROI (yes I realize neg. variance is finally catching up with me). It's actually pretty interesting how much variance can screw with you. GL at the tables guys.
