I am a full time college student and I also work 30 hrs a week. I enjoy the strategic aspect of poker and the risk evaluation. I am a business major so I relate poker alot to the business world. I play mainly for fun but I have found that I can supplement my minimal income by playing and have had nice paydays. My question is this: For those who don't grind for a living, how do you balance playing with the rest of the responsiblities that you have in your life (school, work, family, etc..)? Also, I am a MTT/SNG NLHE and PLO player. Advice/recommendations are much appreciated.

Im at college so i dont have too much family stuff going on but I have class mon-thurs from 10-720 spread out but i dont get to play during the week. I have a g/f that i hang out with almost every night so i dont get to play nights. I do work inbetween classes and weeknights if i have to and i work out mon/wed/fri-sunday when i find time. To squeeze poker in is kinda tough but i usually get one weeknight to stay in and play and then i play weekends fri-sun register from 12-3 and play till 4-6. After that ill lift, eat, play guitar (been playing for 4-5 years really getting back into it now) and then go out drinking. I put in maybe 8 tournaments everytime i sit down to play. So 4x8=32 tourns a week, on avg id say more like 25-30 but monthly i can put in maybe 100 tourns. Since my avg win is about 1-2 tourns per 100 i usually get a win or two a month among other cashes. This is enough to really put together a nice roll and save up money at the same time. Thats my sched i hope it helps some.

TWO WORDS. GOALS. SCHEDULE.
WRITE YOURS GOALS DOWN. STICK TO A SCHEDULE.
THIRD WORD. PRIORITIZE.
WHATEVER YOU DO IN LIFE, PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST. -
I respect your decision....but I am not looking to quit poker all together. If $300 is alot of money to you then you made the right decision.
