  1. 1. splitting up ur $2000 bankroll into 40 $50 buyins in a $50-200 $1-2 NL LIVE CASH game.
    2. splitting up ur $2000 bankroll into 10 $200 buyins in the same $50-200 $1-2 NL cash game.

this is for a game in a brick and mortar casino, NOT online. the reason i ask is i choose to go with option 1, i think its very responsible bankroll management. once i double my money i get out and go up the street to the next casino and start over.

however people who dont know me well enough, and are used to having alot bigger rolls, always tell me im a Fool not to buyin for the maximum. i disagree. i feel me buying in for less causes others to make calls which hurt them more than me in the long run.

curious to see what most of u would prefer.
  2. 50-IS-SHORT,-GO-WITH-200-FORSUR2E.
  3. i would do 20 buy ins for 100
easy to double up to in a soft 1/2 game plus 20 buy ins is significant for a rec player live
  4. Both options suck IMO

  5. i normally been playing online, not winning much, mostly playing non holdem games. however in casinos holdem in pretty much the only choice in some of them. i left KS with $1800 last july and ran it up to $5500 within about 3-4 weeks, but ended up losing it on BJ and video poker like a dumbazz. was playing on the riverboats in st louis evansville and at ceasers indiana. i always bought in for the minimum the first time, if i lost the 2nd time i bought in for a little more, and then if i lost again id buyin for the MAX of $200 or $300. and i did well, i won enough to get the roll as high as $5500.

i felt like the style i was using i was protected from going broke, since i didnt do what some people would and have like 6 $300 buyins. i would think u could easily build $2000 into $20,000 in 6months to a year, if u just stayed away from any other games but poker, buy protecting urself the same way without buying in for more. i couldnt risk going broke because the initial roll was irreplaceable, considering im on SSI for disability and not employed. thats why i protected it so closely. (that is until i played BJ and video poker, got stuck and desperately started doubling up.)

  6. bumping this post, now that i finally figured out how to find it. have not gotten the opinions of near enough people for the wisest option of people who are playing with a relatively small amount of money for most of u, (but a relatively large amount for me and some people) of $1000-2000. its not right at all how the govt wants to force us out of our homes and into casinos hundreds of miles away where u cant play $5-25 buyin NL and the cheapest game is $50-200 buyin instead, how is that helping anyone whose gambling too much?

i only can pray i will run this money up to $3000-5000 online by next summer, when these regulations fully take effect so i can have more to start with when i move outta KS to a place i can play LIVE instead
