I've felted down in my account a couple times now. I realize I'm probably playing with too little money, but I'm trying to figure out how much to play with.
I want to get started with the smallest roll I can since my wife isn't hot on me emptying the college funds to find out if I might make it.
So I'm very curious what peoples standards are.
How many big blinds are requisit to sit at a cash games? How many buy ins should you have behind you?
If you play sit-n-gos, how many buys seems like a good amount?
I'm sure there will be no hard and fast rules on this, but some general consesus opinions will be great to hear. -
Actually, yes, there are some pretty hard-and-fast rules on this. At least I think they're pretty hard-and-fast...some may disagree, but those people are also busto from time to time:

But how many big blinds should you have when you sit down at a table of NL HL?
Should you go in relation to the average stack at the table, max buy in, 100big blinds? -
type "bankroll management" or other terms and im sure you will find alot of information about BR management
-
number of bb depends on your style... if you are tight aggressive you could sit down with 50bb and be fine.. if you play LAG youre going to want the max buyin(usually 100 bb)
