So right now im playing the 1.20 SNG's on pokerstars. I have roughly 110$, im trying to play so I always have 100 buy ins before I move up a level. My question to you is, once I get 100 buy ins for the 1.20 sng's should I move up to the 3.40 sng's right away? or should I continue to play the 1.20 sng's?? If i begin to play the 3.40 sng's when my roll reaches 120 I will only have 35 buy ins at the 3.40 sng level. So when should I move up? Your insights will be greatly appreciated.

it really depends on how replaceable your bankroll is or if your ego can handle going back down to the 1.20s if things dont go well. what is your ROI in the 1.20 and how many have you played? that is also a huge determinant if you are ready to move up. you dont want to confuse a hot run with being a consistent, solid winner at those stakes
here are jennifear's bankroll suggestions. keep in mind these numbers reflect jennifear's conservative bankroll management style:
$65 - $1.10 STTs
$90 - $1.10 18-man
$130 - $1.10 45-man, $2.20 STTs
$215 - $3.30 STTs
btw here is Fox's bankroll management suggestions
<table border="1" cols="4" width="400"><tbody><tr><td><center>PRO</center></td><td><center>Protected</center></td><td><center>UnProtected</center></td></tr><tr><td>Hold'em</td><td>550 Big Bets</td><td>400 Big Bets</td><td>200 Big Bets</td></tr><tr><td>NL Holdem</td><td>45 Buy Ins</td><td>25 Buy Ins</td><td>15 Buy Ins</td></tr><tr><td>SNG</td><td>65 Entries</td><td>45 Entries</td><td>20 Entries</td></tr><tr><td>MTT</td><td>200 Entries</td><td>100 Entries</td><td>40 Entries
</td></tr></tbody></table> -
Usually when I move up I like to have a buffer zone, so I'll have a little time to enjoy the new stakes.
For example, I stopped playing $5 MTTs when my b/r dropped below $400. I won't add them back into the mix until I get back above $500. That way I'll be able to play them for a while without really thinking about it. And isn't "not caring about the money" one of the benefits of BR management?
I've kind of let my stomach set my floors and ceilings for me, and I've found that overlay helps smooth things out. -
I would start mixing in maybe one or to $3 sngs per session. The faster you can get away from the 1.20 sngs the better. The 20% rake sucks!!

here's a piece of Jenn's BR guide you forgot...

- I didn't include any game with higher than a 10% rake, because I feel that those games are ripoffs.
