1. check out this link http://www.gambling911.com/Congressm...aw-022207.html basicly it says he's the chairman of the house financial services committee and he wants to repeal the anti gambling law....i love this qoute ~ Last March, Frank said: 'Adults are entitled to do with their money what they want to do.'
2. Im sure what Barney Frank really meant to say was "Adults are entitled to do with their money what they want to do, after we tax the living shit out of it." Your going to have to repeal the entire Safe Port Act. And the way our government works it will take them frickin 20 years to get this done. Anything invoving either Lawyers or Congress takes forever to get anything done.
3. you don't have to repeal the entire safe port act to change the gambling provisions they passed with it...
4. I sure do hope this is true. Maybe the stuff about D'Amato and the PPA is true too. They are both from NY right?
5. Sadly there was a thread on this earlier this week (with a link to Frank's denial) and Frank's office denied he was doing anything.

He did however agrue against it in the house this summer.
6. He's from Mass. and......poop
7. Former high-powered lobbyist Jack Abramoff is currently pursuing other interests. Who have stars, UB, Aiyre etc hired in his stead? These folks need need a coupla hard, pipe-hittin' lobbyists, who'll go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch.

You hear me talkin'..... sorry - just a lil frustrated s' all.
8. As my previous post was deleted...there are bigger things than poker. I want nothing to do with Barney Frank. Hopefully this is G-rated enough to stick.
9. Oreo jenkins, if barney frank supports making an exception for online poker and he were to vote for it if it came up for vote in congress then why wouldn't you support him? You don't have to support ever few he shares just to support his views on poker. Send me a private msg if you wan't, im just curious as to why you would bash someone who would want to help us.
10. I said what I dislike him for, and it was deleted. If you want to know about it, just google "Barney Frank scandal." I don't care what he's doing in Congress, he shouldn't be where he is. And to pre-empt my flaming, it happens everywhere...regardless of party. A Republican from Florida (I think) did something along the same lines that was just about as repulsive to me. Finally, I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican.

Poker is important to me, and it's part of the reason I don't consider myself a "Republican" anymore, but I'm not going to support someone I see as unfit to hold office just because he is promoting one thing of which I'm in favor.
11. Is it because he is gay?
12. No.
13. 100% in agreement Oreo. I tend to agree with Frank on this issue, but no way would I ever vote for him. If people want to be single issue voters, that's fine with me. You just have to realize that if you do that, you're basically just acting in your self interest in the same way that Harrah's (at least allegedly) lobbies to have internet gambling repealed.

Edit: Actually, you don't have to realize that. You have the right to be completely blind to your double standard. :)

14. Oreo, I totally respect your views regarding Barney Frank and you are correct if you don’t support him then you shouldn’t start supporting him now. However, you can still support his view of supporting online poker. Barney Frank is an ally in our fight for online poker and it would be foolish to not let him know we share the same views on poker that he does.

I don’t support bush but if he said he supports online poker than I’d send him an email letting him know I agree. I still wouldn’t vote for the guy or support him but I’d let him know I support his views on poker. You should do the same for Barney Frank.

We are more likely to convince a member of congress to take action if that politician already supports online poker. Send Barney Frank anemail and let him know how you feel about online poker.

I urge everyone to take a few minutes out of their schedule and send Barney Frank an email letting him know you’re views on online poker and urging him to take action. You can email barney frank via this link: http://capwiz.com/pokerplayersallian...&chamber=H
15. They hired Al D'Amato instead.

Keep up.
