Barry Greeenstein / Joe Sebok Question

    Before I ask my questin .. first off .. Barry's website (barrygreenstein.com) is really cool and has some of the best music on the internet and some entertaining things on every page... including Barry's candid ratings of current players... my favorite is the rating page for Ted Forest where he lists several of the interest prop. bets that Ted has made over the years.... really a riot.

    Back to my question .... I know Joe Sebok is Barry's son ... ummm... seems wierd to me that he has a different name.. anyone know the story here?

    Barry actually has several children with different women. I believe he has 6?

    If you get a chance to check out his book the dedication in the front talks about how he is sorry for not being a better father.

    It leaves me to believe that him and Joe have been apart for some time and only recently have been together.

    Again not 100% positive on all the details.

    Joe Sebok is Barry's "step-son whom he raised from the age of six". Look on the player review of Joe Sebok on Barrys website.

    It was addressed on the circuit, Barry Greenstein is actually Joe Seboks step-father is what he said. Either Barry's previous wifes kid was Joe Sebok, or his long time girlfriend is Joes Seboks mother. I'd assume the former rather than the ladder. But they are not biologically father and son, hopefully that answers your question.

    DID ANYONE READ JOE SEBOK'S ARTICLE IN CARDPLAYER WHERE HE TALKS ABOUT ONLY HAVING A $6,000 BANKROLL FOR THE BORGATA TOURNEYS AND HOW HE GRINDED HIS WAY THROUGH THE WEEK? DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY BELIEVE THAT IF HE WANTED TO BUY INTO A TOURNEY THAT HE DIDNT HAVE THE ROLL FOR THAT HIS DAD WOULDNT PAY HIS ENTRY FOR HIM OR AT LEAST LOAN HIM THE MONEY????

    barry does not want his kids playing cards. Not until they have a degree and have at least experienced the work force.

    he has refused to teach them poker until they show him a diploma

    YOU CAN READ BARRY'S WEBSITE FOR HIS ATTITUDE ON HIS KIDS PLAYING POKER AND HOW HE TAUGHT JOE HOW TO GAMBLE WITHOUT ACTUALLY TEACHING HIM HOW TO PLAY POKER.
