Bax is a sicko, Imperium has put a new definition on "sick"...so who is the best online player ever?
#1- IMP
#2- Bax
no disrepect to Bax, bc hes obv awesome, but what Imp did this weekend boggles my mind
congrats
edit- i obv mean MTTer...cash games are a whole different monster -
Imp is so sick he's perfectly healthy
-
Hey man, at least call it Maddux vs. Johan
-
That's a good comparison.
-
the sickest player out there is definitely CoughyMcPhlemVirus
-
both put up spectacular results online
both put up spectacular results live
but Imperium tear lately is legendary -
Not to be hating, cuz Imp is SPECTACULAR.....
JB is obv overall # 1 in history of online tournament poker. Imp needs more time to permeate his presence. Seriously, JB, and not even close. -
Bax is legendary

LOL.
I think if Sorel keeps this up for a while you can compare the two. Remember, Sorel just turned 21 and in his first tourney after, went deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep in the WPT championship. Should be fun to watch him over the next few years.
Oh, and BTW, Waco owns!!!!!!!!!!!11 -
LOL @ permeate
-
I think Atimos is the best right now.
-
I am a huge Bax and Imoerium fan...but the stats speak for them selves.
From Jan 01/2006-present
pokerstars,UB,party and FT for both
JohnnyBax Imperium
$868,587 $925,439
Advantage Imperium for last year of play....but so damn close! And what Bax has done for online play is unbelievable...A true legend...Imperium is an amazing talent for years to come...not a legend YET imo.
Thanks,
Dan -

I hate to toss in another analogy but this is like saying Doyle is better than Patrik. Obviously Doyle's more famous and might have more lifetime winnings. He's done a lot off the poker tables as well. He's probably a much better businessman. But it doesn't make any sense to just call Doyle number one. In just about any poker game Patrik expects to win more money than Doyle does. Patrik is a big favorite heads up in NLHE. Patrik tilts less, plays more, studies harder, and wants it more. He's younger.
I think everything above also holds for Cliff and Sorel. -

maddux's fastball is a mean 78 mph -
I don't want to hijack this thread, but this sort of ignorance is my e-pet-peeve. I was in an argument with like 6-7 people in the OT forum about this. Unless the Turner Field radar and TBS/Turner South/TNT/ESPN/FOX Sports radar is rigged, Maddux's fastball was consitently clocked in the 91-93 range, occasionally hitting 94-95.
-
you also have to mention that each week the fields in these tourneys are getting bigger and stronger which would have to favor imp slightly. but i believe they're both equally sick.
-
neither
-
Yeah that 78mph fastball that is 3 inches of the plate and still called a strike is a tough pitch to hit

bax

[Schnorkus]
The great Johnny Bax
#1 forever -
If Andy Mcelod isn't mentioned in this argument I think something is wrong.
