Heading to Vegas tomorrow morning...and no I'm not a rookie. I have been out to Vegas several times, I know good casinos, tournies, bars, restaurants, etc. so this is not a thread about what to do out there or where to stay (at the Rio fwiw). Actually started thinking about this as a result of Doc Sands on Lindley's show the other day when he was talking about exercising during the WSOP. Is anyone out there taking golf clubs and planning on playing a few rounds while out there, as a way of at least getting out into the sunshine and out of the casinos and bars??? I know Harrah's has some deals with Rio Secco (played there b4 and freakin sweet) and one other course (can't think of it right now but believe it is a Nicklaus design). Any other courses that are a must play? Any pocketfives members tryin to get in a few rounds in during the next week or two?

Cascata is the other Harrahs course and while I have not been on it, my playing buddy has and says it is unreal. I will be out there wedsenday and if i decide to bring my clubs, then I will hit you up.

I went to Vegas for 2 months last summer and I left my clubs at home because it is 100 degrees every day in Vegas June/July.

^vagish imo... i live in phoenix(hotter than vegas) and play all year round. heat sucks but the dirt cheap prices make it well worth it. just go before 10

On a real note, I love gol, in fact I am trying to Monday Qualify for a nationwide event in october, I wanted to bring my clubs bc I am out here for 2 months, now that I am here, I wouldnt play or practice, its just too hot and im from fla
