Just recently i've noticed on paradise especially, people asking well begging for $$$$.I haven't seen it on other sites some players take no notice while others politely say no which is then followed by a lot of abuse for just saying no.
-
Actually had someone ask me for $1 on stars the other day . ( after i broke him - cash game ) I told him no and that was that ,but couldnt help typing in "lol"
Seems like there's a lot of begging on Paradise for some reason . Maybe No limit Pro has people now working for him . Like a network of crooked scumbags or something like that . Who knows .

I've been getting asked like crazy on UB lately. I swear, all the beggars have a secret site that they post if someone gave them a handout. THen they all come and find you. I gave money one time, and now get asked like it's going out of style. Seriously, if you have to ask someone for a dollar, should you really be playing this game?
-
I've noticed an interesting phenomenon lately. I've seen so many beggars that my brain now tunes them out and I hardly even notice them anymore.
-
this is why i refuse to make anymore final tables--- i cant stand the begging...;-)

A brand NEW web site has popped up dealing with this subject matter http://www.beggars.com, It teaches beggar’s new and improved ways of asking (begging) for $$, dealing with such subjects matters as…..
1) Asking and receiving
2) Don’t take no for an answer!
3) Higher % of yeses by asking this way.
4) Asking the right people.
And many more
GL and enjoy : ) -
I like it when they go "Hey [your name here] -- how you doing?" and you think "gee, maybe I know this guy" and so you say hey, and you say "do i know you?" amnd they usually say "yeah, can I borrow $2?" or they start by buttering the muffin:
"Dude, you are THE MAN. Can I borrow $2 for a sit n go?"
It's rampant on all sites but esp. Paradise and UB MTTs. -
Yes--I have seen begging on many of the sites I play....Luckily, my main site (Prima Network) frowns mightily on any begging or advertising and will disable chat in a minute for these people. Because of this, it is extremely rare (I can't remember ever) that people ask for money like they do on the other sites.
The double joy in this--is they don't have chops on the site either--so no one ever BEGS for a chop either. You just play it out and win or lose. -
rumour has it that a guy was making 500 a week minumum just begging all day on paradise
but he never played just cashed out so paradise shut him down -
On UB, if u report the f...king beggars, they will shut them down. I do this to every one of em that asks me for money if I don't know em. Just go to customer service and report the table and time. UB will take care of the rest. My standard reply is now just 'UB does not allow begging and you are now being reported!' I wish everyone would do this since that would shut most of em down fairly quickly. Thanks in advance for everyone's help in clearing the tables of these nuisances!

I always say sure, how much do you need? They usually say, $1.00 will do. Then I ask, can you change a $50? Their answer: um, no, thanks anyway!

I just gave a seemingly nice kid $2 on UB Monday. I checked back yesterday and he had built it up to over $200. I thought it was pretty cool to see.
-
Honestly..I always thought the beggers were just kidding. Just to act like a jackass. I mean, I never thought anyone would actually transfer them money...lol...
Who's dumber in that instance?
If they really are getting people to give them money, then the problem is not the beggers. -
Who are the beggers??? I would guess that they're probably people you've won money from. If someone is nice enough in the way they ask and the amount of money really means nothing to you, than I say give them another chance every once in a while. I can tune them out or turn off chat when I want to. They are doing me no harm. I am happy that I gave the guy money the other day. I now have a new player to watch and help to become a successful player.

I was driving home from work yesterday and saw one of those beggars on the street corner of a busy intersection. He wasn't walking up and down soliciting from cars though. He was sitting on the ground and very focused on a project. I didn't make it through the first light and when I came to a stop I was right next to the guy. He was actually typing away on a laptop, wireless with a satalite card, and begging for money on UB.
unbelievable!!! -
Willis;
Absolutely right, Bro!
I always send UB the name of the player and the hand number..they've always checked the chat logs and taken action each time I've sent in a report.

hey:
does anyone have $3 i can borrow? ;o)

I think a lot of the beggars are young kids who don't have a credit card or any easy way to deposit money into an account. Even with a dollar, they can play a long time at the .01/.02 tables.

i give a lot to ppl in the streets bec i figure, if they are in such a bad situation, who cares how they got there and what they are going to spend my dollar on,,,its not like me not giving is going to help them anymore(like when ppl say "hes just going to get drunk or by drugs")...
i never gave online but if someone asked for a buck and it was bec they blew all their money i guess i might but probably not unless i knew they were actually poor... -
Hey guys all I need is 1.10 I promise to pay back after I win a sitngo on UB...
