  1. I just got back from taking down a 3 table $30 buy-in for $540 some odd bucks. Thats not what is cool. The cool part is how I did it, and here is how...

We're down to three players left, one a short stack with hardly any chips left and another guy with about 1.5x what I've got. The short stack is pretty bad and will get blinded away soon. And I've got a wicked tell on the big stack for whenever he has a huge hand.

Now is where the fun begins...
I'm on the button and pick up trash. I raise, like I always have been and big stack, who is SB, looks down at his cards. he then looks both me and the BB in the eye (a very obvious tell) and triples my raise. BB folds and I think about a move I've been waiting to try for awhile...(some might not approve) I look back down at my cards and push all-in. He thinks a second, says "unlucky" and I jump up from my chair (without revealing my cards) and say, "Pocket Rockets, baby! Unlucky for you" or something to that effect. He says, "wait wait, I never made the call" and we precede to get into an argument about how I thought he said, "All-in." Clearly, he said unlucky(I heard it too) and the floor is called over and they rule that he can muck if he wants.

He mucks KK face up and I, grumbling about the injustice, muck my 9-3o, facedown. I didn't have the balls to muck faceup for fear of being beaten up afterward. At this point, I am now the big stack and take down the tourny down.

A little bit of angle shooting but I had been thinking about trying this for awhile now and the time finally was right and it worked to perfection.

  2. yeah, show that shit face up and the dude might pop a blood vessel.

    oh and nice acting job.

  3. lol nice angle shooting. remind me of this post if I ever play you live.
  4. That is by far one of the sickest things I've heard..... what made you think he wouldn't auto call you?
  5. This doesn't sound real...

I don't see anyone doing anything but insta-calling with K's in that spot.
  6. CALL
    GG
    BAD PLAYED

  7. 3 table 30 buy in = 540 for 1st? NOT RLY
     1
  8. SMARTASS RLY?
  9. My only response to the above actually happening is 'uh huh'.

  10. i dont know why i get the feeling that this entire story is fabricated.

you say the BB is a shortstack AND a bad player.
you say the SB has you covered
why wouldnt he instacall with KK especially considering the opprotunity to bust the only player that is a threat?

    you cant be serious.

my other problem with this post (assuming it is true) is that you are simply bragging about angle shooting. i dont really have a problem with angle shooting. until they specificially say things like that are against the rules and they institute penalties for things like what you did i would have to say its fair game. however, i dont think its noble, intelligent, or particularly becoming of you as a player.

simply put, its not something that should be bragged about.
  11. Wacokidd once defeated a dragon without a sword.
  12. i made a similar bluff live once but it wasn't with cards that bad and his that good lol. Basically, 1k 2k blinds in a 350 buyin at Seminole Hard Rock and I had about 10k in chips. I shove in from the button with Q8hh. The tightest player ever is on the big blind too. So, sb folds but the big blind starts thinking. I'm like, uh-oh, I'm fucked.

Generally, I just sit there and don't do anything, but he gave me material to work with. He thought for about 3minutes while playing with his chips. At one point, he stops playing with them for like 10 seconds. When he picks up the chips again, he moves them like 5inches to make it look like he could be pushing them into the middle although I know that this isn't the case. Well, when he does this I put my knees on my seat, get all excited and say, "Is that a call?" I motion to flip up my cards and he's like "whoa, whoa, I didn't say or do anything". So I sit back in my chair, act a little depressed and 5 seconds later he folds A10s face up. I flip over my hand and lol for a bit.

Two hands later I shoved A7 and ran into AQ from another guy so it was a moot point but it sure was entertaining.
  13. Thats very different to me atleast you just try to scare him and it worked for some strange reason..
I think they guy deserv it to becouse why think for 3 minuts with AT when the button push all in for 5 BB=)

The other story just sounds so unreal stupid and i dont think it is true...
