My parents are headed out there for 5 nights and since they're both retired there's a decent chance they may start going out there once or twice per year.
I've been trying to look online to see which casinos offer the best comp packages toward getting free nights at their hotel.
My guess is they're all pretty comparable to each other but any info is appreciated. -
What games do they play? If they play slots tell them to ask for a casino slot host before they start playing. Harrah's has probably the best marketing scheme for free nights. They do not calculate heavy play for their promotions and have a bigger market to play. Your parents can play at all their different property's and still have their play tracked. In the good ole days of room/food/beverage comps the formula looked something like this for your play.
average bet on machine: $3
coin in per minute: $60 1 spin for every 3 seconds (max allowed by casino regulation)
coin in per hour: $3600 per hour comps based on time not (win/loss)
% that machine you are playing is programmed to pay back over life of machine 5% =/- 1% for $1 denomination machines gets lower with higher denominations.
casino pays back % in comps 15-20%
So you play machine for 6hrs total: $21600 coin in that is win lose on machine (not actual bankroll)
Casino will make $1080 on machine over 6 hrs
They will credit about $162 in comps equivelent towards rooms and food.
Harrahs awards 1 point for every $5 played so they would earn 4300 base points for that play. That is if they hit the max bet button and spun as fast as they could for 6 hrs total. That changed your tier level that has added benefits.
Most casinos use the same formula to comp with. Just knowing the vig (house edge) that the casino has on each game and estimate time played. -
Venetian has been offering some good room specials and free rooms especially during the week, because they have a lot of rooms available now with the palazzo open , venetian and wynn have good comps for the poker players as well, the wynn seems to overcomp a lot. Good luck out there let us know how it goes.

open a line of credit for like $2500 and they wont pay for anything. its worth it just for the room and food alone
