  1. Just throwin it out there cause it seems like poker players are the ones buying the most headphones right now it seems like either bose or dr dres new ones suggestions much appreciated thx
  2. bose quietcomfort 15 imo
  3. First, Dre's headphones are soooooooooo overrated. Its like paying $20 for a bottle of aspirin, that isn't nearly as good as the $5 bottle, just because Dre put his name on it.

Second, it depends on what exactly you mean by "for poker." If you are playing live you probably need a set of noise canceling cans. They keep outside sound out and inside sound in... which is good for obvious reasons. If you are just kicking around the house and want sound quality there are some really good open cans out there.

I'm partial to grado, but goodcans.com is a good place to look around and figure out for yourself.
  4. use the search function...... theres been a couple theads like this in PD and OT recently

  7. +1
  8. Maybe cause they grab attention with their looks, but surely its not for the sound.

I mean I understand it might get the job done for some people, but what it comes down to is you are shelling out something like $250 for headphones made by a company that doesn't make headphones. Why do that when you can spend $100 on a nice set of cans made by people that make their living on headphones and audio equipment.

If you are just doing it for the trend then at least buy Sennheiser.
  9. They are gooooot ...
  10.  Skullcandy...imo
  11. This mans headphones.

  12. any Seinheisser's or whatever is the right spell.

  14. I happen to think that the Beats are more than worth it, maybe its because I came from using crappy rinky dink headphones, straight to buying those bad boys. They have this dynamic eualizer built into it so when you begin to pump the volume up, it'll adjust and drop off certain levels to prevent sharp frequency spikes. And they sound pretty damn good to me.

  15. http://direct.motorola.com/ens/s9/Headset_Home.asp

these have been the best by far, as of yet for me. i have have tried many. i run AK240's by AKG hard wired and these above^...

i can answer my phone, hear my tunes via iphone or computer, my ps3 also, my studio, most chat or im's also. jogging is the only thing im not real in love with but can handle 45 min runs so its acceptable.
  16. Skullcandy is nice and trendy, but not the best audio quality. They do have a great warranty program that makes it a really good buy for someone that snowboards/skateboards, but there are better headphones to invest your money in.
