  1. Back into trying to improve mode since I want to grind all winter, and I would really appreciate any advice on this hand. I feel like I played everything up to river fine (up for criticism obviously, just want to throw that out there) but on river I am not sure if chk/call, bet/call, or bet/fold is best. FWIW, he has been at table for about 2 orbits, nothing crazy shown from him yet. On one hand I feel like chking loses value from small pp that might call another value bet, but i also feel that he bluffs river so little that bet calling might be spewy. Thanks a lot!

  2. Don't take advice from me, but i'd have bet the river. I'm not one to be teaching but i'd like to see what everyone else has to say.
I'd be thinking if he had a bigger pocket pair he'd reraise pre, but thats me.
  3. I would check the river. Quite possible he flopped a boat here. His smooth calls are suspicious. Also by checking you give him a chance to bluff/bet and you can get a better read on his handif he river bets. I'd put him on AK/AQ or pocket 10s. He is most likely going to make a river bet and I would probably call most of his river bets unless I had a sick read that he flopped the boat, then I fold. Let me guess though that he had Pocket 10s and you called his allin bet.
  4. I probably reraise pre to find out if hes serious. I'd probably bet here since there are worse hands he can call with like AT or a smaller pair. But it sounds like you dont know where your at on the river, you must have some reads on this guy? If your not sure then I would say check/call any reasonable bet and you might induce some bluffs. Bet / folding sucks.
  5. as played, bet/evaluate i think is best.

  6. As played I check call the river... if he ships all in when u check think mayb find a fold (although in rela time i call here a lot)
just dont think At etc is ganna bet strong here as played on river... good player would mayb bet smallish but not allin as has huge shown down value andonly called by better....... think busted flush draw also possible and only way to win is to bet and obv u call and scoop pot

to start the hand we are both 100 bb deep and im not sure what im going to do i f i 3bet and he 4bets. that was the main reason i flatted pre. i guess b/c and b/f depend on his sizing on river as well, but if he were to raise any river bet, i feel he is bluffing such a small % of the time that auto calling even a min raise might be spewy?

This. I think you lose out on value if you check here.
  9. Think u need to bet this river... villains line looks alot like 5's-9's, random T's and AK/AQ ... ur losing a ton of value by checking the river
  10. 2925/f
  11. Theres no way im not betting this river against a random.
  12. He probably checks back a lot of his range that you are ahead of, such as Tx or lower pp, so you are missing out on value when checking. Its unlikely that hes floating 2 streets with air, and i think with the top of his range he is more likely to raise the turn to try and set up a river shove. This looks more like a one pair type hand than anything else but it is possible he has a monster, and unlikely he has air or a missed draw. So bet/reevaluate sounds good and probably sigh fold to a raise.

    M_of_2 snap call tho right?

meh i guess im only getting value from a few small pp with the way the board ran out. checking river lets him bluff a lot of missed draws too.....

  14. if u check call u get showdown and not commit all stack best option imo

think u beat here very high % when raised on river.. AT only flats imo
