best place to stay in vegas shortterm

    going to vegas for a couple of months maybe longer looking for a place
    1 close to strip or downtown
    2 under 1000 a month
    3 furnished/ utilities included
    4 month to month lease

    please help

    there everywhere go to rent.com or something
    only advice I have is stay west of the strip and cross out downtown

    check craigslist.com, they have all kinds of options, plenty of empty houses/apartments in vegas

    hotels,com has ridic offers, but it goes up on the weekends, but its worth it imo

    Staying at Sienna Suites for 5 days while waiting to move in to our apartment. $270/wk...2 rooms/appliances/2 tvs hbo... in what seems like a dec. area...or at least i haven't been held up yet

    when i was out in vegas a year ago i stayed in some temp. housing b4 moving into a house. If ur really looking for close to the strip i would recommend Budget Suites on Tropicana. There's two of them 3650 W. Tropicana and 4250 W. Tropicana. it's like 200/wk with all utilities incl. and furnished and i stayed in them for a couple months without any problems. It is true that the more west u go and south u go the better area u are in.

    U def. want to stay away from downtown vegas or any of the budget suites/siegal suites located around paradise blvd and any area north of tropicana and east of Las vegas blvd.

    I also stayed at sienna suites for about a month right b4 i moved into house and it def. is the best option interms of weekly/monthly stays. The amnenities are pretty nice as it has 2 great pools, a workout area, free high speed internet, etc. and u def. don't have to worry about random crime(muggings, car theft, prostitution, etc.). But its the most expensive and u will pay about 1050/month. U would prob. want to have a car if u stay at sienna suites as its located on tropicana/boulder hwy which is about 15 min driving time from the MGM grand casino. If u stay at the budget suites on tropicana ur looking at about a 15min. walk from the 3650 location and about a 25 min. walk from the 4250 location.
