Best "shot" to take?

    After a decent run in $10 SNG's the past few days, I've decided to take a shot at some big money. I'm up just a little over $100 and I'm playing mostly on stars. I'm thinking the nightly 70K tonight for $55. Does anyone else have a better tournament that will be of value?

    if you mean you have profitted 100 from sngs and are dead set of taking a shot i'd say a 4.40 180 turbo. much more beatable than a large mtt

    Play the daily 55$ on stars tomorrow. Pretty sure it's like a 125k on sundays, it's the daily 80k during the week.

    A $4.40 SNG isn't a shot. I am rolled for that tournament. A shot is something you wouldn't normally play because it's just outside BR requirements, but thanks for your suggestion.

    Reread the post... My BR is not $100.

    Also for the record, I'm not going to be devastated if I lose. I mean, I'm not investing more on the shot, but only the prizes are massive, not the BI's.

    I personally have ran awful anytime ive taken shots at tourneys $50 and over and has cut into a lot of hard earned profit...but gl.

    Thanks for your posts. I decided to play tonight's $70k, but I like the Sunday idea as well. I'll see how I do in this. If I lose, I'll grind some more SNG's and maybe play tomorrow as well.

    Haven't hit any pots yet, but it's still way early.

    Yeah, I had a pretty good 1st hour. 31/957

    There's still a lot of poker to play, but I'm very happy with how I've been playing lately, which is one of the reasons I took this shot.

    Ended up min cashing. Lost 4 races in a row to small-medium stacks, limped across the bubble, doubled up once, got ran over a little by the big stacks, and then got caught stealing and didn't improve.

    Then I played a $33 10k guarantee and was card dead the whole time. So I'm right back where I started when I first posted this thread.

    I haven't decided whether I'm going to take another shot today. I'm leaning towards no since I have already taken 2 shots on my recent profits and really ought to further my profits before I take another shot, but who knows...

    lol @ "taking a shot" in a $55 tourny lol. Play in the sunday 125k lots of dead money, I hear a ton of people take shots in that tourney.

    On my 500-600 BR my favourite shot is the 3.30r. Very very soft and massive payouts at the top.

    Also have a guard against a bad beat inside the first hour, which is good.

    The $55 (80k) has a special Guarantee of $200,000 Sunday afternoon.... starts in 1 hour and the guarantee is usually smashed.
