Ehh...I'm no expert, but it's pretty close I think. $2 tourny... I'd probably be inclined to call for a few reasons. Most other higher stake tournies would be a fold for me though, as I'd prefer finding a better spot than calling my 15BB stack off with A9.
Reasons I consider calling:
If I were the small blind, i'd be putting you (~15 BB stack) all in everytime it folded around to me with any pocket pair, any ace, and probably J9 suited+... because of this, you are definately ahead of villain's shoving range IMO, and only need to be right a certain % of the time to have the call be profitable in the long run. The only hands you really don't want the villain to turn over are 99-AA and A10+, and more often than not, these hands would just min-raise you, hoping to induce a re-raise all-in...
Just my 2 cents ;/ -
I would fold.
The reason being is that 15 BB is enough wiggle room to play a few hands. If it was 1 minute before blind increase its almost a call but i probably still fold considering im passing the blinds after this next hand.
I feel that depending on your edge in this game, if u feel you are a better chance than 55/45 to go better then calling here and running into at best 10J-QK or between is not enough to warrant a call.
You could be flipping or dominated which reduces chances again, and to put tourny life on line when u still have 15 BB and potentially 10 when blinds increase is marginal. I like a fold.
