I was playing in the Mohegan Sun 330 sat. to the $1000 tourney. It paid 13 spots, with the 13 players then playing for $6700 in cash. With 18 left, we thought we had an agreement to pay 18, and then play for the remaining cash. A player at my table hears we have a deal and goes all in. The guy next to me ask him if he wins, will he still make a deal. The kid says yes. The guy then goes all in w/ kJ against a5 and wins a big pot and knocks the kid out. He then says, I dont want a deal, lets play. I never saw so many people want to hurt someone. This guy starts to explain that he never said he would make a deal, he just wanted to know if the kid would. We ended up w/a deal at 16 players.

Wow......

just another situation that would make me snap and attack someone
-
i am really not understanding whats going on
everyone agrees to a deal at 18 players...
but when someone goes all in, the guy thinking about calling asks the kid again if he will still make the deal? i thought that was already established -
wow thats a fucking beat down for sure
never make deals unless floor approves -
It is amazing that people can get away with type of shit without getting their ass kicked. After playing live a few times a week for last 4 years I have learned to expect this type of low-life behavior, so just hearing you have a deal doesn't mean anything until the floor actually makes it official.

That is pretty dick. There is no way I would of walked away without getting kicked out of the casino. A little different but I was in a tourney with an awful structure one time and we were down to 5 with 4 being paid. The blinds were huge, chip leader probably had 6 big blinds, and the levels were 15 minutes and we were dicussing a deal talking for about 5 minutes and the floor lets us know that the clock had been running the whole time and they don't stop the clock for deal discussions. Anyone else have this happen to you?

why didnt the other 15 of u be nice enough to put up a small % of ur deal for the poor kid that got screwed by the bloke that i can call no other than Mr. Cunt?
some such sad people out there, really is. -
In fact, as one of the remaining players I would have said: no deal untill this piece of scum is out.
