The best way to pull it out is right before u feel urself about to blow.

  11. SERIOUSLY THOUGH, I WOULD NOT STEP MY FOOT IN HIS STORE, EVER, NO MATTER HOW MUCH DOUGH I'D HAVE...I GUESS YOU DIDN'T READ THE NEWS RECENTLY, BUT HE'S GOING TO GET LOCKED UP FOR DEALING HEAVY DRUGS AND BEING INVOLVED IN MONEY LAUNDERING (AS IN TENS OF MILLIONS).....PLEASE INVEST YOUR MONEY IN A BETTER WAY....NOW SEND ME $100 FOR THE NEWS lol

  12. FORGOT TO ADD THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE TO WITHDRAW THAT MUCH MONEY, JUST PAY THE APPROP. TAXES AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY IN THE FUTURE...AKA MAKE YOU SLEEP A LOT BETTER.
  13. gj bro!!!!!!
  14. Pull it out in smaller checks of 3-5K. Or move it to other sites through epassporte and start balling.

    Congrats.
  15. This could be semantics but it's a curiosity I have regarding taxes and online poker....

Take this 10K win. If you NEVER took it out of your poker account, if it never became 'real money' do you have to declare it as income?

I guess my question would have to do with end of year scores. If you took down the Sunday Million the first weekend of December, could you, without legal consequences, leave your winnings in your PStars account, and transfer them out January 1, 2008? And if you did, would you not be obligated to file your winnings/pay your taxes until 4/15/2009?

I'm just curious about some of the nuts and bolts on questions like this, but I'm sure it's all very gray.

Probably time for P5s to put together a series on financial planning on a poker budget, for low to high stakes pros.
  16. I would pull out of Epassporte in $4500 chunks. They give you shit if your account with them goes over $5k.
    definitely declare for tax purposes.
Prob a break would be good, I prefer one after a huge rush and more so after a huge loss (cash game speaking).
    Congrats!
I like the advice people gave you regarding real estate.
You could do what I did when I had when I got my biggest score and if you are in a serious relationship buy an engagement ring. Sounds cheesy, but hey man - it's a lifetime pass if your woman isn't into poker!

  17. Congrats!! I would take $20k out pay off any outstanding bills or buy something you have been after.
  18. hahah that is 99% effective
  19. you obviously would want to invest in a "Grill"....go check out Paul Wall man....he's got a great selection to choose from....or ask Lilholdem where he got his from.....with a platinum/dimond grill you'll bite through just about anything, even steel bars!
  20. I could give you a long winded answer, but I doubt you are looking for a cure for insomnia. In short, the win is income in the year it is earned because you have control over the funds. (i.e. to use in other tournaments, withdrawls, transfers to other players etc.) For more info look at the Tax Q&A section listed under Content.
  21. Also, apparently donating it all to Ron Paul is a good idea?
