1. I slowplayed this hand to the river and let the villian get there.... should I have protected my hand better on the turn?

I bet half the pot on the river hoping to represent a busted draw and get a two pair type hand to shove.
  2. Cooler IMO.

You flopped the stone cold nuts and got runner runnered. Chalk it up as a cooler and play the hand for value the same way. If a nonclub 9 falls you stack him.
  3. For the most part, it's just a cooler.

But I also think leading out on the turn is a better play than checking again, or at the very least, check-raise. You want to do more to build the pot.

  4. i dont like just flatting the turn here, id either c/r or lead out but i def dont like c/c.

theres vry vry vry few holdings that he can have where i think c/c MIGHT be better than c/r here

I don't mind check/call the flop & check/shoveing the turn when the fush draw comes. I don't think it changes to outcome but at least you get your chips in ahead - always a good thing :)
  6. Sure a cooler, but given that you were willing to put another 2k+ into pot after the river gave the card that probably beats you, it was played really poorly.

The flop couldnt have been better for your (marginal) hand ie a complete rainbow so you should def have check raised post flop-there was 540 in pot after his 180 bet and u could have raised him to say 400 still pricing him to mine assuming he had 2p or a Q. When the turn gave the heart and he bet, he clearly had something so you had to push. Only a muppet would have called mining for a flush. After the river, if ypou were worried about the flush, why didnt u check again and fold to his push? You were pretty much pot committed betting 700 with nowhere to go after he reraised. If theres danger on a real drawing board and you are ahead get em in earlier and WIN a smaller pot rather than lose a large one.

  7. Why not lead out the flop here? Certainly I was not at the table and do not know the tendencies of your opponent, but if I raise blind versus blind in this spot I am leading out a majority of the time. My reasoning would include that flop connecting with the opponent's range of holdings often enough to induce a call or possibly a raise and I want to build a pot. Now, again, I do not know the opponent's tendencies (with reasonable certainty will he lead out when I check-in which case I will be raising) and slow playing does not make much sense to me (build a pot-most peeps at this level, myself included, never believes an opponent would lead out with the nuts). Would it change the outcome of this hand: very unlikely as the opponent would probably call a bet post and probably call/shove the turn. I am leading out in this spot on the flop and with that turn continuing to fire.
  8. check raise turn to build a pot. If villain calls he s making the wrong play. u win
