Specifically regarding heads-up play: In a cash game the BB has the button and in a Tourny/SNG the SB has the button.
Why is it different? -
Yeh I haven't noticed the difference being between cash/tourney. Seems like some places do it one way and some do it the other....
Any explanation on this would be very appreciated as this has baffled me for quite some time as to why there isn't a "standard". -
i believe the TDA rules state that the small blind is button head up,

Any live game i've ever played button is SB
