  2. Didn't ebay already pull this stupid marketing ploy with "It". I'm sorry I shouldn't be so cynical. I'm sure we will all be just blown away and flabbergasted by this "thing".

  3. I hope its a crotch guard.
  4. Lame marketing ploy obv. Coolest thing ever would be free 15 grand in my account.
  5. is this gonna be another Bluff Poker Tour thing... we all know how that went....
  6. Guys, I know you are very cynical on this announcement! However, I can assure you that this is not some BS promotion. What we will be announcing will be a permanent part of our site and something the majority of you will use on a daily basis.

If I am wrong, then I will be happy to buy each of you a beer at the WSOP next year!

  7. My guess its some sort of poker journal ....like cardplayers analyst feature

    DO i win a cookie?
  8. well, in that case even if it is the coolest thing ever I will be holding out in telling you that, until after the wsop!
  9. why all the suspense? a case of newcastle says this will not be the coolest thing, even in poker...
  10. All joking aside... given Bluff's history of innovation and quality products, I don't doubt this will be pretty damn cool.

Coolest thing ever? We shall see...

    ; )))
  11. will anybody remember this post in 59 days? i just want to make sure i am gonna be able to collect that beer at next year's WSOP...
  12. I'm pretty excited to see what this could be.

  13. I can assure everyone that what we have in the Q has nothing remotely to do with what Card Player or any other site has done!

On a side note, I do expect a beer from all you cynical people if what we are launching is "The Coolest Thing Ever." Deal?

  14. Great press release: In 2 months, we will announce something. Ugh. Sorry, lame. If you want to build excitement, make this announcement a week before the announcement. Noone is going to wait with baited breath for 2 months, people are just gonna be indifferent to it by the time it comes out, whatever it is.

Also, way to set everyone up for disappointment by making this promotion completely about how amazingly cool this thing is going to be. If it turns out to sort of cool but not really THAT great, people are going to eviscerate you and it, and it'll be worse than if you just launched it normally. If it really is the coolest thing ever, it probably doesn't need 2 months of hype to help it catch on.
  15. please ship me my cold beer now.
  16. so why not say what it is now?
  17. I disagree poker fellow. From a timing stand point, its good business, but I do agree that the word choice is real dorky.

  18. The point is to build anticipation! We will be coming out with a release about every 2 weeks giving a little more with each release~!

I do believe that every one of you reading this post will go to the site once it is released. Call it what you want but we are still getting what we want and that all of you commenting on the post (Good and bad)!

FYI - I am more then happy to buy the first round if you don't use what we are launching! In fact, I would probably buy any of you a beer even if you did agree with the wording of the release!

  21. Some people are far too serious.
Obviously you can think of things that will be cooler than this, like a billion dollars, but thats not the point.

Everyday you see this kind of marketing on TV, in magazine, on radio. There is nothing wrong with it.

Rather than be whiny and critical, why not be excited and supportive? If there is one thing all poker players need to have in common, it is to support the advancement of the game itself, which includes being supportive to new producs, services, and technologies.

It doesn't mean whining on a message board when someone announces something that is only trying to help the game.

Anyway, I can't wait for it. I think it's going to be very useful for any serious player and I think everyone will really enjoy it.

    Peace

  22. Im pretty excited about this too. But since I'm pissed its so far away and want to find out now i'll pretend i hate your stupid marketing ploy, and say I won't even remember it come february ( not true).
  23. This is the internet though, 2 months = eternity. But yes, us arguing about how bad your promotion is does create clicks and interest, for now. I like Bluff, I hope the interest lasts longer than this thread.
  24. I'm pretty eager to know what it is - I probably won' be as intrigued as I am now when its released, but I will bookmark this nonetheless.

I think it might be a new payment method for online sites, or it could be a program, maybe something that allows you to preregister for the poker tournaments that you want to play for the day in one program (assuming its online tournament related).
  25. So far it seems, pretty uncool.
  26. GABBO IS COMING

    QFT.

feb=too long. tell us again in january, we might care then.
  28. repost in 2 months and we ll see if i go to the site then
  29. its so funny how crappy we can be to some of the people that have shown us the most support.

BTW, I just saw a spiderman 3 trailer, when does that come out?

Bluff comes up with some pretty cool ideas, if you want to know how cool they are just ask Cardplayer, since they copy all of them.
  30. I've caught wind of this idea and it does indeed sound pretty cool. Give it a chance P5s (as well as a bunch of time, lol).
