Forgive me for not posting the hand, but couldnt figure out how to do it there, so from memory, (blinds 300/600)

    Button:limps stacksize (9k)

SB: Which is me: dealt 5h5s, stack (15k)

    BB:calls stack (2k)

    FLOP= 10d 5d 9d...........

I bet out 3x blinds, bb folds, Button goes all in:

my impression of button: is unexpierenced, maybe playing over his head i assume he has an A of diamond and is chasing?Very much doubted he flopped the flush, Is it right to call knowing this info, or should i fold?

I myself probally had an aggressive image at the table as well.

Just like to hear some thoughts of my fellow p5ers.

  3. No doubt, call everyday.

  4. If possible beat him the pot with your chips, if not insta call is fine....

  8. I put my chips in the pot...
I put my shoes in the pot...
I put my wife in the pot...
I borrow 300k from a gangster who will kill me if i don't pay...
and i put it in the pot...
    etc
  9. i cant click call fast enough
  10. OH, YEAH! I'm a BACK DOOR MAN!
  11. spider, i just learned the other day that you can use ctrl-c on your keyboard to copy a hh from bodog. i don't know why you can't just right click it. i don't know what the keyboard command is to paste, but i think you can use your mouse for that.
  12. Spider, just to give you an idea of how clear of a call this is:

You now have to call 6600 into a pot with something like 12.5k in it (not sure antes or how many are at your table). Basically, you're getting very close to 2 to 1 on your call.

    That means...

Even if your opponent shows you two diamonds in his hand, your call would still be basically even money. Considering that there's no way to verify that he has a flush, along with the fact that I'd assume there's only a relatively small chance that he does (I'd say 25% or less), this is a pretty obvious call.

  13. Yea, must call. Wierd similar hand in Ceasar's $500 Circuit event last two weeks ago...

I limp Kh10h at 50-100 behind three others in late position, blinds join us.
Flop Q-8-2, all hearts. Checks to player to my right, who bets 300, leaving 700 behind (he had taken a hit a few hands earlier)

I repop 600 more, essentially commiting him if he is chasing. He tanks for a good two mins, then folds his hand face up. yes, he had 2-2 for a set. I told him great laydown :-)

  14. Thanks to all who have responded, I did insta-call!! and of course the next card out was a Diamond,

just figured it was a situation, where i was almost positive i knew my opponents hand before pushing the chips in. And if I was for certain that he had the DIAMOND, if it was worth me risking such a huge portion of my chips, I failed to mention I was approaching the money.,

recently read a post, where PearlJammer said reason why alot of players never win big is b/c they dont take enough risks, and i agree w/ this which made it an instapush for me.
Recently i have had a bit more success, when i control the size of the pot, obviously had no control on this one.

I remember a discussion not to long ago about how the existence of the "COOLER" was this a potential Cooler situation for me?

    Just some food for thought...

  15. Odds of flopping a flush: 118-1

Odds of flopping a set: 7.5-1

Odds of flopping a set when your opponent flops a flush: ???????
  16. def. instacall

  17. yoooooooooooooooooooooINSTACALLooooooooooooooooooo o!
  18. I call all day everyday. He probably has the A or K of diamonds and is on a draw. Against me he turns or rivers the flush about 99% of the time and I cry myself to sleep.
  19. I just flopped a set of 10's on a board of 10 J K all spades I re-raised the preflop raiser and post flop bettor all in - he insta called with AA (ace of spades) and my set held up...... woooooo hoooo, sets are very strong hands don't let anyone tell you different. If I go broke on a set I can live with it in most cases....
  20. up against 99- ask Fox......
  21. Spider this was not a cooler, he just drew out on you. A cooler is when you have a great hand (2nd or 3rd nuts) and your opponent has a better hand.

  22. fold.

    oh wait, no. call obv.
