Not to hijack the other Bodog threads, but I was looking over some of the regular Bodog tournies that I played daily, and comparing before and after the guarantee drops. Here are the 1st half of the days main tournaments. All the ones listed below I've won at some point or another(not a brag) and really can't see playing anymore knowing the drastic change in investment vs reward.

Keep in mind all buy ins and structures remain the same, only thing changed is the prize pool.

BEFORE l AFTER

4K Deepstack- $44 buyin 1st place = $1,200 / 1st place = $440
2K 1R/1A - $11 buyin 1st place = $600 / 1st place = $205
3K Deepstack- $55 buyin 1st place = $1,200 / 1st place = $225
1.5K GTD- $8 buyin 1st place = $450 / 1st place = $119
2.5K 6max- $22 buyin 1st place = $750 / 1st place = $288
4K SS- $33 buyin 1st place = $1,200 / 1st place = $600
2K SS- $13 buyin 1st place = $600 / 1st place = $248

Now I'm by no means a baller, but it just doesn't make sense for me to grind a 4 table maximum here anymore for such tiny prizepools. I understand all those long time supporters, but damn, look at those 1st place prizes! L-O-L

Wow that's pretty pitiful. I was wondering how their turnouts and prizepools would be affected by this. Was gonna check results at the end of the day to see if it's worth continuing on there. OBV NOT! lol.. Thanx 4 posting this..

What are the buy-ins/guarentees changing to tho? The "before" numbers aren't the same acrossed the board, not just the payouts...

Most the ones I posted lost their guarantee altogether except one or two of them. Which is even more ridiculous imo. How do u go from 4K gtd to nada? You couldn't make it 3K or 2.5K etc??

I keep a few bux on there for sngs, 100k even though they uped the buy in, the 10$ 5k and 10k. Those are still good bargains.

yeah I was dissapointed that the 2k beg. at midnight dropped to a 1k really the only toureny I have time to play on there. first used to be $500 now it went to $300 kinda a bummer might as well not even play there anymore.

There were only 22 runners today in that tourney so it paid 3 spots. I'd say it used to get 65-85 runners usually when there was a guarantee.

I have been loyal to Bodog for years.

Lately they payouts dropping on the MTTs dont make it worth while even for practice.

Just looked at Absolute Poker and found 90 $ I forgot I had there.

Oh well better MTT line ups and the site I hope is now secure.

So long BODOG and I might be back in Football season.

Bodog problems.

1.) Credit Card deposits are not free. I get hit with extra Charges on every one.
2.) Payouts took forever
3.) Guarantees MTT are not worth 20 + 2 for the amount they pay out.
4.) Site has been running very slow lately with any Additional programs running.

Too bad because it was my favorite site.

Absolute is bearable lets see how the mtts run deep stacks.

On sundays the $11 10K is now 5K and 5K is now 3K. The nightly $11 is 3K across the board along with the $22 . Which hurt considering went deep in the $22 3K tonite which would have been a 6K on friday nights.

alright people. the secondary smaller poker sites are having a lot of trouble given the economy and the way stars and ftp has slaughtered the market. you can't have guarantees if theyre not being met because then the company would lose lots of money. obviously stars is worth millions upon billions, so its easy for them to eat the difference when theres a guarantee that isnt met, but even they are dropping guarantees now. just hope bodog doesnt go out of business all together and maybe once the online poker landscape improves in the next few years, maybe the business will come back and youll have your guarantees again on a fishy site. until then, try not to hate on a company thats clearly just trying to survive through a really tough time.

good post. I had noticed this and actually wrote bodog an email last night telling them that they are killing themselves by doing this and that I will be cashing everything out. seeing the differences in pay in this post is just sad.
I say everyone emails them letting them know they need to change the tourneys back or you will cashout and delete the software.
If all of their regular players did this maybe the they would change it back.

Well Never thought I would abandon Bodog but Absolute Poker has the same structures for the Afternoon MTTs

30 + 3 buy in for a deepstack at 2 Pm EST

It is guaranteed and it has a nice late night Sniper 10 K for 50 + 5

Software sometimes crashes only negative but found Nevertilt and Ronndough there last two mtts I played and cashed in two out of three.

So Absolute until proven to have reverted back to old ways is now my new official home for MTTs and nice Guarantees.

GG BODOG

I will be back for Foot ball but 30 + 3 for 3 K or 30+ 3 for 5 k is a no brainer.

Absolute will get all of Bodogs business that is not on stars or Tilt
