hi,
i was wondering if anyone has any info on the bodog beginner sng's, im wondering how long they give you with beginner status......
They pay top 5 in all 10 player beginner sng's, and i think this would be a HUGE way to build a bankroll in a short amount of time. I know that the money will be shorter bcuz of paying more spots, but basically you get 3-1 on your money for 1st instead of 4-1 like on stars.... but you get your buyin back ( -rake) if you get 5th and you get + .50% for 4th!! you get paid to bubble here lol. If most people are like me im in top five waaaaaayyy more often than bottom 5... so there is def room to make money. Im thinkin if they give you a month and you GRIND tough like 8-10 hour days alot you could build 5-10k in 1 month easy..... maybe im coo coo, it is late and the stars sng's r down, but any ideas??
thx,

i'm pretty sure you can play in beginner's SnGs for as long as you want
that would be a shitty ass 8-10 hour day, IMO
and for some reason i doubt you could make like 5-10k a month in those...
do they even offer ones higher than like 5 bucks? -
yeah, it would be terrible... disgusting, but if you are gettin a rediculous roi and trying to build like me it might be worth it..... 5-10k wouldnt be that hard, right now they are showing $2, $8, $16 and $32! the 16's 32's could get you there if you play like a sicko all day and night

If you are any good at SNGs these are horrible. The prize structure does not reward you for firsts.

I realize that... Im just considering for building purposes... i know for a fact that if i was getting paid for atleast 4th on stars somehow, right now id be up alllllot more. It might be good to develope my game and build my money up? you agree there?

I think they are a good way to break into the game, but I personally don't play them often. Sure, the pay structure is nice that you get paid to bubble (as you said), but you get far less for first, and you don't get that much for moneying. So, you really need to get into the top 5 at least 70% of the time (maybe more). The thing is, you can play 6 in a row, and do good, don't money 2, and now you are into losing money.
So, nice to start out in (if I had someone who wanted to just start out playing, you could do worse than starting here), but for actual bankroll building, I question how good these are for that (of course, unless your game naturally gets you into 3-5 place). -
Good for low ROI and low variance IMO. Great if you don't have a roll and just wanna play.

i wouldnt say you need to get 70% unless you were averaging 4-5 place money each time.... if you hit 6 out of 8 that would be 80% and you would only be losing if you didnt place higher than 3rd in any of them..... PS's sngs are the same if you hit 2nd or 3rd 6 out of 8 times it would almost be exactly the same....
this is becoming a real puzzel for me thx for any insight guys -
I used the beginner sngs to pay for my sports bets.

I played these for a while - they're not as simple as they seem. The bubble just starts out faster, is all. Instead of guys tightening up at 4 players, they tighthen up at 6 or 7. Don't forget the blind structure goes up every 10 minutes = a long time.
I was able to learn on them and try out lots of stuff on it. So, it has it's value. But if you're looking to build a roll, don't use these. The gutter limit games on Full Tilt and stars are juicier - IMO. Plus, there are just so many more games on FT and Stars than Bodog. -

IMO...unless you are in the top 5 - 10 percent of sng players, this is the best payout structure by far for sngs on the internet. and its not even close.
Average to above average players can easily attain roi's of 10-25 percent at the 16 and 32 buck levels on these.
