I see 1 thing neg. happening for sure.........when someone scores large points in the beginning of the month they will be less likely to play much at the end of the month (for there is no incentive to play). The monthly use to keep many there for longer periods especially if they had a large point gain early. The extra amount you would gain from the Top leader board tourney credits kept many playing more tourneys. Many of the old regulars came back at the end of last year mainly because of the yearly/monthly leader board opportunity's let alone the notoriety.

I just see this as another downward spiral for a once beloved site.

Funny how Bodog has people who are suppose to know what they are doing when it comes to running and improving the site, yet we as players could do a better job at increasing site traffic just from implementing a few improvements we know would work.

If they are really concerned about increasing traffic and improving their poker side of the business, they need to get off their asses and get with the program. But we've been waiting for these changes for years. Heck, I could do a better job running the site.

Word, i just started playing tournies on there and was wondering where the monthly and yearly leaderboards were. Of course since it's only weekly now I do not care as much about playing. Bodog is just begging it's regs to leave!

I think they could fund the monthly and the yearly leaderboard by fixing the late registration. add a waiting list or just open new tables durring the late reg period. This has to be costing them a Fortune. They would have more people in every touney with this simple fix.

Bodog has once again made a huge mistake and their business will continue to decline. When Bodog was my #1 site I used to play on my usual off days just to maintain or increase my TLB position.
I mean seriously, who is making these decisions for them?? Getting pretty ridiculous imo.

They can afford to shell out a 24K+ overlay in the weekly 100K but can't afford to reward out for a monthly and yearly TLB?? Doesn't make sense...

I would guess that they ditched the leaderboards to try and hold on to the 100k.

Its all they have left.

They have taken another step away from the simple business model
of any site. Every land based casino knows Promotions bring in the business.
Every Poker/Casino site knows Promotions bring in repeat business. Take away the simple Human Nature aspect and what do you have......Nadaaaaaaaaa

They are/were the ones keeping the site afloat.

So sad but true....becky can you not respond to this thread? I actually thought we were going somewhere when we asked for a 4k 20R tourny and you delivered. What about the merge bodog is supposed to have in September. Is that a ploy as well ?

This is quite disapointing. I took most of my money off late 09. I was planning on depositing again soon. I really wanted to put in a ton of volume this year and go after the leaderboards.

Hopefully Becky will address this issue.

people played on bodog cuz of the smaller tourneys, the overlays and the softer players. with the limit of 4 tables, the dropping of guarantees, no sync breaks and now no leaderboard, bodog is just not worth the time. i removed all my money and dont plan on playing there again unless there are major changes.

bring back the leaderboard, sync breaks, fix late registration, more than 4 tables, keep the 830 at 10k every night, Hand for hand, hand history

those things, in that order plz
