After waiting a month for two small cashouts (which still haven't come), I made a $1500 WU request yesterday. I told Bodog it was important to know when it was coming because I needed the money soon. Less than 24 hours later, my payout was approved, processed and available for pickup.
Awesome job, very impressed. The other two payouts they converted to WU but not sure when they're coming. -
Mine took about 12 hours to be ready. I picked it up less than a day after i requested it. Couldn't believe it after reading all the posts about cashout problems over the last month.

WU is the best way to go for bodog. paper checks have taken weeks and even over a month.

Thank you for this post. I was just in the process of figuring out the best way to cashout out of Bodog. I really wasnt looking forward to waiting a month for a check in the mail. I'll give WU a shot.

I just talked to Bodog support today for about 30 minutes. The guy I talked to has been with them for years and knew a lot about their current situation.
Basically I called because I was pissed I hadn't received a payout in 19 business days. I kept getting form letter responses, which only served to piss me off more.
Anyway, he explained the whole situation to me. I told him that Bodog had always been good with payouts, even in light of the NeTeller debacle, and that I'd been happy to get my Western Union payouts so quickly. He said that for about 45 days, they tried to use a 3rd party to move money directly into our checking accounts. That company turned out to be terrible and Bodog severed ties with them.
The guy then told me that they'll be using Western Union for the time being, but that the ultimate goal is for them to find another 3rd party solution as quickly as possible. Western Union is very expensive for them and it's not particularly convenient for the customer, either.
Anyway, in summary, their support was very good on this issue. But, don't be surprised if the Western Union option disappears again sometime very soon. -

same here...request wed payout next day. Western Union. Bodog has always been solid on the support. Better to talk to someone than wait for an email for a few days.

No. They pay out in spaghetti. -
I'm *still* waiting for a payout from Jan! I called and got the same story that was relayed here. Whole thing stinks though. I requested a check by mail and got several emails it was on the way etc. I'd had a smaller one previously that was cancelled and they sent the "we are doing you such a big favor and depositing it in your checking account email." Well I called them about the check I had requested to see if they were going to pull the same thing. I wanted the check. Guys assures me everything is fine and I'd be getting the ckeck. Wrong! Feb 22 I get the email "we are doing you such a favor blah blah blah." Of course I still have not seen it hit my account and I called yesterday and was told middle of next week. I'll beleive it when I see it....

I cashed out from BODOG on 02/02/2007. I still haven't received my money. One of these days I should give them a call.

WOW BG exact same problem here. Was so fed up with Bodog yesterday. Had been 20 business days for me. Was originally a couriered check which they switched to direct deposit to my checking (without telling me)... no big deal i guess right? WRONG. 20 business days later and several calls all i got was the run around that it can take a little longer than usual, they have been having problems... what else is new. So on the final call yesterday they tell me they can no longer do the deposit to checking method. LOL thx for switching it auto without me even wanthing it that way then tell me a month later they cant do it. So my options yesterday...? Well either check (my freakin original way), or WU. She tells me 3 business days most likely for WU..so I go that route. Obv the 1st email i get says can take up to 10 business days. Im really hoping i get the control number email in the next few days like you guys did so quickly or I'd be rather upset. If it goes a full 10 days we're talking almost a month half for a cashout that shouldnt have taken any longer than 7-10 business days the way i wanted it. Now possibly 30 business days. well done.

Give 'em a call. He cancelled my old transaction on the spot and made it Western Union instead. That was 5 hours ago or so and the money has already hit Western Union and is ready for pick up.
I was super pissed about not receiving my money, but Bodog is trying to make amends and find a reliable method for payouts. They will still be offering free Western Union payouts once per week. -
jesus how do u get a WU payout in 5hrs. WTF. Did you speak with someone in particular who doesnt just do standard company lines? I mean after 20 business days of waiting on a complete error on their part it would be nice to know if I could get such a courtesy. 5hrs... LOL i have a feeling maybe next friday.

The "Money Transfer Payout" option is Western Union then basically right ?

FiGMan, I think the guy's name was "Trevor." He really was excellent and was probably the best customer service person I've ever spoken to.
They're sorting out their issues. One of the points I made to him was that I was tired of receiving emails saying essentially "The 3rd party we enlisted to manage our money transfer payouts has been taking longer than the expected 7-10 business days." I told him those things should be transparent to me. It's not my concern to worry about how I get my money. That's their issue. I just want my money in a timely fashion and the way they were currently going about that was completely unacceptable.
I know they've got tens of thousands of payouts they're working through. If you call them, you should be able to get yours moved to the top of the queue. It worked for me. -
I requested a check 2 weeks ago. Have I called CS. No. Am I worried. No. Will I be worried if it takes 2 months. No. You can ditto that for UB, FTP and stars. They are all taking extraordinary measures to get us our money.
That is the problem with a thread like this at this moment. Half of the people have had a good experience the other half feel hassled. This won't be changing any time soon, with any site really.
I know the intent of the OP was to hook up Bodog but there is a justified negative mentality that exists on these boards. What this usually turns into is a comparison. In reality everyone has struggled at times, sometimes things are better, a lot of time they aren't close to what we used to experience.
That is just today's reality in the online poker. I know that is a deal breaker for some people and many of them have left. For the people that have stayed and will continue to play you have to plan on being inconvenienced. Its really that simple. -

People want their money. It's that simple. Good discussion and good info came from this thread.
Just that today's reality of online poker is to expect delays, it's also the reality of online poker to expect threads like this on a forum dedicated to online poker expressing concern over the situation.
No one's being negative. I pay for a service and expect them to provide me with support. The fact that the money was delayed isn't what sets a lot of people off. It's the lack of service and standardized replies to a specific question that really pisses me off.
Not everyone is as wealthy as you and when Bodog had set a precedent by getting payouts within 5 days and then suddenly no one's received anything for a month, it's cause for concern. I don't see anything wrong with people starting to worry. -
F BEANIE...... seriously though we went thru this before man. I had problems earlier and it finally was resolved. I then posted about that and although wasnt happy with how things transpired I thanked bodog for getting it resolved.
Now this an entirely different situation and even worse of a problem. There is no way i am worried about getting my money... OBV i know im getting my money. Totally besides the point and beanie has to stop acting like he works for bodog, and acting like we have no reason for complaints here.... Im sorry but if i dont call them i have no idea whats going on. Basically the only email i recieved was on feb 7th saying it was switched to my bank rather than the check i requested...n should be 5 business days... 5!!!!!!!!! a month later... 20 business days and no word??? Yeh i know there can be delays. Does that mean i cant call or wonder WTF?? 4 times as long and i have no reason for concern or reason to be upset?????? I as a customer have every reason to call and ask what is going on and how can this be resolved. And BTW when I call I am totally respectful and am just a consumer inquiring about a problem which is clearly the companies fault not mine. So Beanie PLEASE stop coming to the aid of Bodog as if we are some assholes complaining for no reason... its really getting quite old.
BTW as BG said some people need their money, as do I. Waiting well over a month and now possibly longer with really no straight answers ever as to why is unnacceptable. I did nothing but express my displeasure with how things have gone and maybe my problem is i should come off more difficult and bitch to them on the phone if i want anything to get done. Otherwise all i did was ask politely whats going on and can u help me and said, "ok thanks for your help and switching it to WU". So my faith in them coming thru in a timely fashion for oooh the bizzillionth time is my problem i guess. -

I don't know if this has been mentioned much, but Bodog also covers the transfer fees for Western Union for one withdrawal per week. The fees were pretty high relative to the transfer amount. It is very much appreciated as it must be costing them a lot. Keep it up, Bodog.
