  1. Hey guys!

As you may have noticed, there was an update to the Bodog client today. Here are the changes:

    - The right arrow key now opens a panel that shows player details in cash games (who's seated, amount of chips, etc.)

    - The bug that caused some players to see an erroneous minimum buy-in requirement should be fixed

    - The bug that caused some players to only be able to buy in for their full balance in cash games should be fixed

    - The distribution of seats during late registration has been improved

If anyone is still experiencing issues, please leave as much detailed info as possible. Here's a good fictitious example of how to report an issue through me or customer support:

"The client has been crashing on me a lot recently. It seems to happen frequently when I have 4 tourneys running and I get moved tables in one of them. Besides the Bodog client, I usually have Excel, PT3, IE8 and other poker clients running when it happens. Usually, but not always, i get a message that references error code 213. Also, it seems to happen disproportionately more when I am listening to streaming music or watching online videos. FWIW I am running Vista with the SP3 update, using Norton and AVG for anti-virus protection "

A report like the one above, which includes lots of possibly relevant information, goes a long way towards helping the developement team recreate the scenario so they can create a fix much faster. Here is an example of how not to report an issue:

"Software sucks. Constantly crashes on me. @#$% Bodog imo"

A report like this one, does nothing.

  2. dont really play bodog but the bug about only buying in for your full balance had me laughing for a good 10 min
  3. How is the dog doing now in regards to tourney sizes and play? Is it worth it for me to put some money on the site again

helmet- i think it is improving actually.there are some quirky tournaments in there but more to play than before. (A Quad up $10 for instance MTT). Obviously depends on what stakes you want to play.

They do have one promo for tourney players they dont publicize much but is really sweet. The lucky Draw. I guess they draw names based on # of tournies played at random each week fro a sat i think 1930est freeroll where 1 in 5 win tickets to the 100k. SOFTEST FIELD EVER. Played that 2 weeks ago and it was 300 guys, 60 tickets. So not only is it soft if you win the draw into that tourney, but they are reducing the overlay from this and other ticket promos in the 100k while replacing it with serious FISH. There are some seriously soft soft soft table draws now in that thing.

also the sun 5k $10 with Double stacks now is sweet. Nate--- we beat the guarantee last week on that again. Any chance on them bumping it a few grand? It's SUNDAY give the micro guys a bigger pool to play for and they will come.

this hopefully the guarantees continue to be met, and the tourneys keep coming. bodog is one of the most reliable sites to cash out and im liking the tourney changes theyre coming slowly but surely.
  6. Nate:

    Can Bodog Synch Breaks?

I think I asked this already, but I think its essential.
  7. Thx for the reply zubs. If there were sync breaks, it would be a no brainer. I'll think about it though

  9. Hi Nate, the new download is struggling to replace/install two of the files late in the install. I just told it to ignore them and it ran. Don't recall the exact files (mspIII or something). Sorry, I know that's not as helpful as your example. Both files were similar in title and the software appears to run without the replace, but I'll bet it's missing something.

Also the "script running slowly" message I frequently get while looking at hand histories is concerning too. Never saw that til recently.
