    I am headed from Maine to Atlantic City on Friday afternoon, and was wondering the best place along the way to stay reasonable and safe Friday nite? I am thinking somewhere around the Border of NJ so I can only have a short ride Sat AM. Does anyone have any suggestions? I do not want to spend more than $140 or so for Fri nite. I already have my Borgata room for Sun-wed but am looking at Fri-Sat nite.

    Check out the Holmdel Inn. It halfway thru the state just off the Garden State Parkway. This would give you about a hour ride to AC when you get up.
