My current BR is $4500 dollars. Right now I play midlevel buyins on UB nor higher then $27.50. I wanna stay on UB, and go to pokerstars also. Will that be enough 2k on Stars $2500 on UB for buyins now more then $27.50? Can I pull it off?
Ducks -
Yeah plenty if you arent extending beyond 27.50. If you are interested in moving up in stakes id reccommend keeping your BR at one place.

^^^^ lol no help, but very funny...gl

I think you can do it ducks.. but be prepared for the adjustment and increased variance of going from 300 person mtts to 1k+
-
precedent brings up a good point. i recently made the change from bodog to stars and this was the biggest adjustment i had to make. most of the bodog mtt's i play have between 250 and 500 entries while the stars mtt's i've been playing have 1200-1500. huge difference. quite a letdown to mow through 99% of the field and make little to no money
-
yea its both good points, but stars also has the biggest donks to. kinda compensates a little. u can finish a UB 200+ tourney in about 4 to 5 hours its like the same thing in stars mid level buy ins cause everyone sucks so bad. just gotta tiptoe a little more.

why does it make a difference that you're moving part of your roll to stars if youre gonna play the same level buyins?
-
cause i didnt know it was gonna be enough. rigt now i have 4500 on UB, was wondering if i split it in half would it still be enough. r u slow?
-
moving 50% from UB to stars is not cutting your roll in half. DUCY? If you transfer money from your savings to your checking did you lose money there also?
-
From personal experience I would not play SNGs on stars. I have a great ROI on ap (38%) but I cannot and have never been able to maintain a +ROI on stars or FTP. I think the combination of unfamiliar structure and better players is lethal. I play SNGs for a living and check my Sharkscope for those 2 sites, it's horrendous!

i understand dexter, buuuuuuut its till one roll, but its on 2 diff sites now. I was askin if I treat that as one roll a site is that enough for the games I play. I mean can u c where im comin from or r u that oblivious?
-
you clearly don't understand.
Think of it like this. Say you have the same 4500$ bankroll but its in cash in your pocket because you play live poker. You're normally a 5-10 limit holdem player with a 450bb bankroll.
You go to the casino and take a seat and realize that you left 2000$ at home and only brought 2500 with you. Are you saying that in this situation you would no longer be properly rolled for this game. (assuming that 450bbs was a 'proper' roll for this game) -
ok yes i do understand what u r saying. only thing im saying is im am treating it like 2 different roles on 2 differetn sites. this is my perspective im talking about. so the question is to u if i have a 2k bankroll is that enough to play $27.50 games no higher?
-
well I guess I would want 100 BI. it just doesn't make sense to treat them seperately. But, I guess based on your plan, try to play no higher than $20s on stars until you get up another 500-750 or so.
just keep n mind that you have 163 BIs at the 27.50 level in total. Which should be fine
