    Brandon is doing AWESOME right now in the main event in San Jose. Knocked out four bounties so far: Bill Edler, Joe Hachem, John Juanda, and Phil Laak... currently second in chips and has a pretty soft table. Good luck Brandon.

    Doing awesome?? He may be doing awesome but he certainly is not playing awesome. Have you read the updates? Hes gotten all his money in behind on every major pot he won and sucked out. the 78 hand where he back doored a straight was sick as was the A9>AA hand.

    Those hands were so ridiculously standard, the 78 hand like 90% of the money went in on the river and the A9 hand he had the NFD, so standard... I have played with Brandon on several occasions and he is an excellent player....

    He just flopped the Nut Flush Draw w/ A9s and got it in on the flop against AA...

    Random Story:

    I was playing in the $1000 rebuys event in the Aussie Millions. There was a young aggressive American guy on my right. We were both pretty deep.

    He raised in LP, i flatted in position with AQo and we got a Q X X flop. The guy check called. The turn paired the bottom card and he checked called a large bet again. The river was a total blank, he checked, i shoved and he tanked for a while then called.

    I tabled AQ and he stood from the table yelled "SHIT!!" and threw the cards really hard directly at the dealer who hadn't said or done a thing the whole time. It was one of the most classless things i've ever seen at the table.

    A little while later a friend of mine comes over and says "I think you just busted Brandon Cantu."
    "Really? Wow what a dickhead."

    But who knows, maybe my friend made a mistake.

    totally agree about his wsop win. Looked like he took the word douchebag to a hole new level. And his play vs Joe with a6 wtf do yo have to make a move on every singel hand can you like never fold. Specially vs guy like Joe were money isnt issue. I been fallowing the updates on cardplayer and seems to me he playes like the sickest blow up style you can play. But to give him credit he did steamrole over the last 1 hour. blinds will be low tomorrow and i see him blow up big time he will end max 3rd

    I didn't get a chance to play with him all tournament, but he is def chipping up in between getting sick coolers and suckouts.... I think he is probably playing a very aggressive game and would probably be one of the chip leaders without the suckouts. I just want to see this Baker guy bust he seems horrible.     Played blackjack with him last month at council bluffs...we had our own table since it was late at Harrah's and nobody was playing over 5 bucks a hand. Ran it up to 2 dimes and left. played ABC blackjack mixed with some lagtard doubles... he seemed like a normal acting person minus the two shufflemasters he and I crushed over the dealers heads

    i am also confused by bax's running to cantu's defense.

    i dont think what matrix said was really all that offensive (unless he edited it), he just says that cantu sucked out on some big pots. bond's story not good to hear either.

    i sincerely do not get though why this would make you read the boards less...its not like he said anything vindictive/abusive about him.

    no i didnt edit it and I didnt say he was a bad player either. Hes just running really good thats all. I hope Bax isnt serious and will continue to post cause I enjoy his posts.
